Make Any Pokemon Raid Build Work For You 

So after watching this video I had to try the bird challenge. Successfully did the raid with random people. We had a miraidon bellibolt and a sandy shocks. I did faint once, but the intimidate was timely. Everyone was running the last shot and was getting a little hasty. Edit: oh and I went green to get the best color.

Arboliva messed up my first run with miraidon, I would have preferred to have electric terrain for the attack boost and recovery than the little recovery from grass. I usually don't mind having arboliva along with the NPCs unless I'm trying to set up a specific terrain and it is there to spam grassy terrain. I didn't think that earthquake hit very hard on miraidon or belibolt though, which surprised me. Once blaziken got up to +6 he was basically one shotting me with low kick. When I tried it with belibolt after that two of the NPCs had pressure, which was really not helpful. Still managed to get it with belibolt pretty easily though.

Eelektross is great for this raid! I'm running it too with Lunge, Coil and Supercell Slam.

One player bought a milotic and drained the timer fairly quickly…

Ah yes. When all players are told they are the main character it can affect how they work in a team setting.

Pokémon is a game for all ages like Mario or Zelda. I’ve played with children, they actually take the time to watch RU-vid and learn, adults look at an image of a build and go “I got the gist” and then proceed to not understand.

For blastoise raids I ran into cases like this. We had 2 Gallade and 2 vaporeon. We rush to red, and lose because everybody stops supporting.

Why wouldn’t you taunt instead of metal sound? The metal sound gets cleared once shield goes up anyways, so you’re better off just attacking to build Tera or blocking the swords dance all together with taunt instead.

Noted on that. I was not aware that Miraidon can Learn Taunt. Thanks for the Suggestion!

what does Assault Vest do against a physical attacker? Blaziken uses Overheat very rarely...

@@maxrbmc dude, it literally boosts both defense stats. Suddenly a +2 earthquake goes from an ohko to a guaranteed 2hko. Key point there, +2 attack, that’s not accounting for stuff like intimidate/chilling water and reflect

@@mikomakowski7907 That is a false statement. Assault Vest only increases Special Defense. It does not affect your Defense stat.

Assault Vest is only for Special Defense. "Raises the holder's Special Defense by 50%, but also prevents the holder from selecting any status moves"

His whole thing is doing raids in a group because raids are group content.

@@YawnBlue yea but not everyone has that luxury so...yea no sadly you can't use any pokemon unless you have others to carry you, but that's p absurd that charge/mirror coat set lol Also I wouldn't call it group content when you can perfectly solo every raid

@@RedRumRose106 His point is that anything CAN work if you bring the necessary elements to the raid. Squawkabilly can't solo the raid by itself, but it brings Intimidate support and depending on teammates, it can Fake Tears to let its allies hit harder, it can Taunt to make sure Blaziken (in this case) can't set up, it can Featherdance to lower attack more or Tailwind to boost ally speed, or Helping Hand to power up an ally... Squawk isn't going to be a solo hero but that's not the point of these raids. The point is to build a team that can beat the boss and in a team with others you can usually do it in a variety of ways with different Pokemon. In solo raids a lot of the success also comes from your computer controlled allies faints NOT counting against you and as he mentioned in the video, the Intimidate computer controlled allies actually benefit you by fainting because they can reapply and stack their attack debuffs each time they faint.

​@@RedRumRose106 every other Pokemon RU-vid channel almost only ever make solo builds/solo strats, and Steve always literally says he makes group builds. Why complain that he's not doing something that almost everyone does?
