DIY Sparkling UNICORN BUBBLE BATH Tutorial! I'm showing you how to make the cutest unicorn bubble bath EVER!!! I'll show you how to make all of the elements (bubble brittle, bubble bar horns & stars, & sparkling salt. Then I'm going to show you how to put it all together - in any container!
BUBBLE BATH BRITTLE: 1 cup baking soda, ½ cup citric acid, ½ cup SLSa (sodium lauryl sulfoacetate), ¼ cup cream of tartar (or corn starch). 15 milliliters fragrance oil, 10 milliliters polysorbate 80. Mix dry & wet ingredients together, divide for multiple colors. **Mix must be extra wet so it sticks together & doesn’t crumble; you may need to add 5-10 milliliters liquid (I recommend bubble bath). Lay mix down & pack it well. Make top flat! DRY 24 hours! Remove from pan & break it up. SPARKLING SALTS RECIPE: Add alcohol & mica, swirl to mix + salts, then coat evenly. Spread out to dry 30 minutes. BUBBLE BAR (HORNS & STARS): ½ cup baking soda, ½ cup SLSA (sodium lauryl sulfoacetate), ¼ cup cream of tartar, 20 milliliters fragrance oil, 10 milliliters polysorbate 80, 30 milliliters glycerin. Mix ingredients. Knead & squeeze dough together. It will pull together & form a soft, but not sticky, ball. Divide dough into 2 (stars & horns).
HORNS: Coat unicorn mold with corn starch or mica. Fill one mold side, pack it, & make top flat. Fill other mold + extra loose dough on top. Smoosh 2 sides together. Tap both sides with spoon. Dry 24 hours. PATINING: Add alcohol & mica, swirl to mix (add a bit more mica) & paint horns. Dry 1 hour. STARS: Coat dough ball with corn starch & flatten it. Sprinkle a bit more corn starch on dough. Roll gently; allow gravity to do most of the work. Paint the entire surface with glittery/sparkling mica. Cut out shapes. Cure 24 hours. NOTE ** If it's cracking, it may be too dry (add more liquid bubble bath), or you might be working the dough too much/fast. ** The dough eventually dries out; it’ll be workable for an hour without having to add additional liquid. *** Left over dough can be re-used & re-rolled as many times as needed.
