In Indonesia this tuber dioscorea alata the Javanese name UWI, westerner called water yam, the price for white colour about us$1.2 , the purple one is about us$5 per kilo. The price is high coz its rare, no one plant it and no one eat it. Just for conservation.

Is this tuber from the big vines you show before you start digging. It's huge. How long a period did it grow before you get such a huge harvest? Very interesting. I hadn't eaten these tubers since I was a kid. They were delicious. Your harvest is a white colour tuber, do you have purple coloured ones too? Very interesting
