This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. A Job or a hobby? Make it a JOBBY!
Art Director Ramin Sadighi takes TEDxsers inside his awesome jobby and describes how he found success. By understanding his unique strengths and weaknesses and embracing serendipity.
Ramin was born in 1967, Vienna/Austria, studied System Analysis (Science and Industry University of Tehran). Ramin, as a bassist, founded “Hermes Records” in 1999 and co-founded “Culture & Music” monthly magazine in 2004. Since 2003, he has actively collaborated with the Columbia College (Chicago) on their mentoring programs for Arts Management since 2004.
Ramin is also the Director of the International Section of the Fadjr Music Festival in Tehran and so far well known musicians and ensembles such as Stephan Micus (Germany), Anja Lechner (Germany), Samuel Rohrer (Germany), Francois Couturier (France), Renaud Garcia-Fons (France), Nik Baertsch (Switzerland), Colin Vallon Trio (Swizterland), Bazar Bla (Sweden), Ralph van Raat (Netherlands), Bjoern Meyer (Sweden), Tarkovsky Quartet (Franco-German) were among his guests
Hermes Records has attracted global recognition with the Grammy nominated album Endless Vision (Alizadeh/ Gasparyan, 2007), the release of the first non-English version of the Songlines World Music Magazine (in Persian Language, 2006) as well as the Award of Persian Music Label of the Year 2006 and 2012.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I have been watching Ted talks for a very long time. Today I discovered a new thing about Ted talks and that is a clearly don't have a grasp on who their targeted audience is that is English speaking. Today with this video they reached I believe to be less than 1% of their audience la Elia nating the rest of them. The least they could've done would have been to run the English translation at the bottom of the screen but no they couldn't even do that it's pathetic
