This is a very pretty and definitely easy to make card. I’ve been a card maker for over 35 years (at least that’s how long it’s been since I bought a card) I need to get back to making simpler cards, that are still impactful and pretty. It can take me several days to make a card. I agonize over the cardstock, etc. (my nephew says “Aunt Sue, the problem with your cards is I can’t throw them away… they’re small works of art!”) So… seeing your gorgeous idea made me stop and think… stop being so fussy, Susan. Going to make your style as soon as I’m done with my lunch. Thank you a million times Patricia! Love your humor and videos. Susan G
I have the most profound admiration for card makers ❣️❤️❤️❤️❤️ They blow my mind away …. 😮 how intricate and precise work they make ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Needless to say I am so very flattered by your comments 🥰 Thank you 🙏❣️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Clever card! I am going to use the ones I make with fairy paper for my nieces. They will love it! They will love getting mail. The ripple effect of the joy you bring and beautiful art you make travels to many people as we send out creations you have taught us to make. Thank you!!!
Thank you 🙏❣️❤️ I did enjoy making these, as you can really change the theme and style for any occasion !!! Fairy paper seems very appropriate for this card 🧚♀️❣️😉
It's 104° here in Denver City, Texas today. I think I'll make one or two of these while staying cool in the central air! Your gold one is my favorite! ❤️🖤❤️
You certainly are entertaining Patricia. Absolutely love this idea. I can see so many different possibilities. My sisters birthday is coming up in August. I will definitely make her a card. I also can see adapting this for a journal. I don’t know how I missed the notification for this video. I was just getting ready to hound you again to make one. Hahaha 😝 Because I know your new baby is coming next month. I hope you do a few more videos before baby shows up. Tfs. 💐💐💐💐 Oh glad to hear you are enjoying yourself. 💐
Ciao Patricia! It is lovely to have you back. I have missed you. I have lost my mojo a little and have only been watching, no making at the moment. Hopefully, I will get it back soon. This is sich a fin card to make. Thanks for sharing and give us our fix of Le Cafe Craft!
Thank you 🙏😊 … mojo comes and go … we all have that kind of days … I usually sort out and reorganize… then spend another few days trying to find what I put away ….where ???🙄
Always enjoy your videos and ideas! I always have to imagine what RU-vid people look like, so YOU are the image of Sophia Loren in my mind ~~~ I know I’m right!!
😂 So right! We have to imagine! Based on her logo, I was thinking Patricia was a sassy mixture of Audrey Tautou (Amelie is one of my favorite movies!!), Brigitte Bardot, and Edith Piaf! 😆 But Sophia is probably much more accurate lol!
Yep, had to come over from Patreon and give you another view (or three). Super cute with lots of possibilities & applications for JJs with alternate sizing which makes for more interactions. Welcome back. Kudos to your editor for the graphic add-ins; they're always good for a giggle. When are you going to be featured on Vectoria Designs' channel??
Love this one Patricia! 😍I make 5x7 cards and they fit those envelopes perfectly. (So your size of cardstock would be 10x7 to make a 5x7 card).🥰 🤗This is called a zed (or zee) fold card and it's one of my favourites to make. If you fold the card first, then put your rectangles on, you don't have to cut the card at all. You just fold the cardstock at the middle, then fold again on the left halfway (at 2 1/2") to get the card shape. Then you put glue on the left side of the shape and stick it on with the card folded into the z-shape, being careful not to glue to the right beyond the fold. Does that make sense? It's hard to write instructions without pictures. Anyway... I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say. 🤔 ☺You can also make this style of card using all sorts of shapes... or even frames... if you don't cut into it. Any ephemera that fits into the space will work.
Definitely easier for more involved shapes or cut out ! It seems that I often pick the hardest way to do things ….🙄 not having any background in “scrapbooking “ doesn’t really help … I checked the process that you describe and YES it is so much easier !!!😀 Thank you 🙏for taking the time to explain (perfectly) the process ❣️Keeping on learning ❣️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@LeCafeCraft You're very welcome. I started playing with paper by making cards. Never did scrapbooking either. Cards are fun... but I don't have that many people to send them to and I now have a drawer full... so I started to play with journals. I've learned a lot from watching you and am happy I could return some of that. (Paying it backwards.🥰)
