I haven’t seen anything yet but a grapple gun would require a lot of force to pull a man up so I just hope your arm doesn’t come off while making this Edit: oh I thought it was going to manually bring you up Edit2: OH SHIT YOUR GONNA MAKE IT
even if I'm really late to the party on this comment, using a body harness would help distribute the force. Which you've probably already seen happen in newer videos by quite a few RU-vidrs ^^
@@Lilfellow25 calm down. Im more of a batman fan but ironman seems like a more advanced and harder to recreate due to all the impossible technology he has. Batman also has his fair share of impossible gadgets but… a heavy metallic suit that could fly with small jetpack-similar technology in each leg and arms is pretty hard to make.
No. After he makes the gun capable of pulling him up a building it will be. xD Actually now that I think about it when he finishes the iron man thrusters (rocket boots/hands/back) then that will be the best thing he has made.
I don't like the idea of it being a "trade secret" if its dangerous or uses something like a shotgun shell they could just show us and say don't do this at home.
True, but then that doesn't make you responsible for any idiot stupid enough to try it, I can understand why your not saying how its made I just prefer transparency.
I know I've been waiting so long. At least it felt long, (almost as long as the pain of realizing that there is not gonna be a batman movie as good as the dark knight)
@@dexeronstarsurge maybe could make it a cape that can also be a squirrel suit. Could make the attachments With bands, really strong magnets or maybe rock climbing clips.
Hey, I have an idea for the hook part of the grappling hook! Instead of a standard hook, why not have a sort of bear trap-like device at the end of the rope? Like, there's a trigger that sticks out as you shoot the projectile at a perch. When the trigger impacts the perch, that activates the jaws to clamp into whatever you're aiming for (brick, wood, stone, etc.). The teeth would have to be made out of something sturdy, like steel or even titanium? I don't know, something tough, so that when the trigger is pressed the teeth can dig into whatever surface you want. I'm no engineer or inventor or whatever, but I think that would be worth trying for your grappling hook gun. :D
Sooooo cool!!! I love what you do Hacksmith and Team!!! Can't wait to see the ascension test! I really would like to keep seeing more superhero stuff! Ex: Green Arrow, Hawkeye, Robin, Whiplash, and maybe even some avatar gadgets!
More of the build process would have been awesome. Always fascinating to see how other engineers problem solve. Keep up the good work - you and Furze inspire me 👍
Pretty sure you're using a varied form of a Can Cannon but the hook is an external sleeve instead of an internal and you're firing .223 blanks. Rope get coiled around the back and is why you had a tangling issue. The expansion pulled a few coils over one another and caused the tangle. Pretty easy fix, just need some additional parts.
most likely CO2 powered, Colin Furze did a rope launcher with with CO2 as well, and it looks similar (the smoke). EDIT: the only difference i see is that it most likely compasses the gas before firing, as a audible pop is heard.
This channel needs millions of subs so they can get enough backers to invest in the high end tech they can't afford right now. Imagine Hacksmith at 10 mil with 10x the funding 😨
the Hacksmith just keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there :) I've seen a lot of channels grow over the years and I can tell yours will too. You'll be in the millions before you know it! Can't wait to see what you make in the future xD
You should put an electro magnet thing on the hook with a button to switch it off on the gun. I dont know if this will work but it instantly popped into my head
I second this. A gasspowered motor of the back that pulls and releases cord. The mechanism to shoot hook should be a powerful spring but still flexible enough that the motors horsepower can reset the mechanism for during again in quick concession.
Hahah they're both awesome it's hard to pick my favorite. Speaking of spider-man though I just made a mask for him, and I'm trying to make some web shooters before the next movie (I have a feeling the actors for spider-man and Aunt May wont be as good as the last but I'ma still see it.
The Avatar Spiderman is cool but sorry Batman> Spiderman especially when they introduce BlackCat which is a rip off of Cat Woman. Also Batman's villains and stories (comics, movies, shows, games) are a lot better. The character himself has more to him as well.
*climbed up the hill beside the train tracks, fetched rope, threw it down, climbed back down hill =P BUT once we have the ascension device, we will be able to go up too!
