And the most important Graphic Design Principle: Do not show off your Design immediately! sleep on the design, meditate around that for a couple of days!

Your content is really great - succinct and engaging, but importantly, visually appealing. I am a big fan of your channel, keep up the great work! Also, I'm not sure if you've covered this but I'd like to see a bit of information on your favourite or most used type faces. As a beginner, I'd like a bit of guidance on what and where I should be investing with regard to typography. Cheers Tom, we hugely appreciate your effort.

Sir, Could you tell me what is principal of design dominance
@paulodonovanmusic
@paulodonovanmusic 3 года назад
I never heard of it, maybe is it hierarchy? For me hierarchy is sequencing what gets attention first. To do this you need to give important elements stronger, more dominant treatment, e.g. bigger, bolder, more vibrant, more dramatic color, more contrast e.g. tonal. In a harmonic design it can be making an element more dissonant, jarring, e.g. asymmetrical and visa versa. Also, more centered, more white space padding, more deviance e.g. in a generally purple design, use orange to contrast and compliment. Use textural contrast e.g. shiny black on matt black and visa versa. Generally the more intense the contrast, the more it boosts the range of the hierarchy system you want to build, giving you super quiet elements and super loud ones

I watched a video about design principals last night and it was so boring, not engaging at all. Felt like the narrator was droning on, you are the opposite. Thank you for your videos
