Please read the advice of an educated Pakistani. Read books on history. Also you may read what an a educated Pakistani says: it would be better if you study about science, history, geography, religion, literature. Quranic knowledge is not enough. Islam is not the only religions. There are many other relgions. All are equally good. What touched me very much was the attitude of Safia’s parents. Her mother was more supportive but her father clearly respects his daughter’s decision. I’m Lebanese and reverted to Islam more than 3 decades ago. I never saw any of my family members after I told my parents that I was Muslim. My father told me I was dead and even when he died recently, I was never told. I found out via social media and his obituary stated that he was an adoring husband and father to my brother. My name was never to be mentioned. I found that even more difficult than being told I was dead, that my parents had no daughter. It hurts but I couldn’t possibly choose my family over my din. I hope this sister is even happier now. It’s wonderful to see so many people accepting Islam and by the grace of Allah, he will keep us on sirat al mustaqim and grant us jannat al firdaws. Amin. 🤲🏻🇱🇧

"Haya" is big concept for which English word modesty is used. Why on earth should women be showing themselves. They should have Haya which makes them more beautiful. Haya means a lot to us. I used to think that if Haya was to abandoned by the world, Afghans will be the last people to abandon it which I believe won't happen. It is so heartening to see that our sisters in Britain have come to recognise its worth. We are proud of all those sisters who take care of their Haya. Keep it up dear sisters. I am a Muslim,born and brought up and lives in Kenya, Kenya is a secular nation with mixed faith. In early 90s most of Muslims ladies used to wear normal without covering their heads but today it very hard to find them wearing short clothes or not covering their heads. Who changed them? Allah.

I'm a born muslim and I feel lost too in this modern "muslim" world we live in. All around me are born muslims but I rarely see real practicing ones. Sadly a huge majority of born Muslims nowadays are lost and have lost the real privilege of being born into this beautiful religion

I’ve never heard of such a thing as an “Islamic Testimony Certificate”! This is something new! In fact one can convert to Islam just by attesting the shahada between one and Allah. The paper document is clearly a western bureaucratic innovation.

Maybe to be buried in a muslim graveyard. Some reverts put in their will they want to be buried the muslim way and provide their certificate as proof of their faith, so that ppl in the muslim community will step in to help them get their death wish respected (some families are against their kids reverting so they are unwilling to book muslim funerals). I think it's quite common those days. Besides when u think about difficulties some reverts may face when marrying into families where prejudice and culture are put higher than the actual religion, it's good to be able to show them ur revert since X amount of time to shut their mouth a bit. That being said, my brother married a revert and there are NO certification involved.
Im glad, towards, the end, that Shana is realizing the things. Before commenting on her. Im born muslim, but not up to the mark. I pray, namaz and leave sometimes for a day or two sometimes even more. The moment i realize, i feel sad and disheartened, I would rush back to Allah again. Who the hell are we to pass judgement on another human being? Allah guides whom He wills! Guidance can come or go for that matter at any time in our life. @@prinncessizzy The issues surrounding sexuality are very clear and explicit not only in the Quran but in all the other Abrahamic faiths. If some one wants to cherry pick parts and misinterpret what are very clear pronouncements and prohibitions in the Quran then that will be between them and their Creator. What they should not then do is try to misguide others or twist the clear ayah (verses) of the Quran. Each soul will ultimately answer for their own deeds.

Ironic that the born muslim woman is judging the reverts dress code, niqab, Islamic lifestyle, even their struggles as reverts, but complains that she's being judged by them when they were so nice and friendly with her and opened up about their experiences with her.
