Thank you all and thank the lord for the support! Join me in making money delivering compost and rocks! In this video, I'll share how I do these deliveries and how you can get involved too. Let's make some money together!
You need to factor in taxes, truck depreciation, trailer depreciation and ofc gas. Overhead is another thing. Time spent getting the jobs, talking to customers, invoicing, accounting etc. so those 200 for 2h of work is not what is actual going into your pocket. Not trying to be mean, but it’s important people understand the true cost of running a business if you want to stay in it for the long run.
I definitely see where you're coming from. A lot of the things you mentioned can go right over peoples heads. When I do a breakdown video I'll do my best to include every potential expense so that people have an idea of what it's truly like running and operating a business.
@@Haroldsheavyduty Also since you are are over 10K gross weight pulling that trailer, Some states require you to have DOT numbers displayed, yearly vehicle inspections and a valid medical card just like a trucker. I have a video on that.
You are good at explaining everything, I have no questions. Assuming your trailer has ramps, Id say you should consider getting a mini skid loader to provide value added services.
@@Haroldsheavydutyperhaps look at a dump trailer? One you could rent out or do deliveries in. I’ve seen a few guys with them that do tree wood removal to the dump, junk removal to the dump. Have a hydraulic Jack and cargo net. Buying a skid steer could work also, but now you have maintenance to think about, gas, oil, grease, repairs. And how would you get it to the site when your trailer is full of stuff?
Do you source your materials from a supply yard with a store front? I havent found a supply yard that offers discount pricing plus all landscape supply stores in my area offer delivery within a 10 mile radius for $50. only larger yards that offer discount pricing but require higher minimums 5 yards on aggregate and 8 yards on soils and mulch
Typically, yes. Ask for contractor pricing as they all should have it. They probably have a minimum tonnage for their delivery though? Either way you can still mark up a little bit and or do longer deliveries with a higher delivery fee.
I love answering this because I've commented on others builds so many times like you're doing but get ZERO response 🤣 Gear Off Road 770 EDGE FINISH: GLOSS BLACK (B) SIZE: 20x10 OFFSET: -19
