So happy you got picked to be a judge for RPG Superstar this year. Hopefully at least one of my submissions finds its way to you and makes you say "That is so cool!" I also LOVE the RPG Superstar monster creation tool. It helps with so much of the basics so you don't have to tab back and forth a million times and can spend more time on finer details like using proper PF2e verbiage and making abilities clear and concise. (although it unfortunately does not alphabetize your creature's abilities in each section, which is one of those things I have to check 47 times before submitting anything).

Love the Tobi design here, though I have a small thought, it should have a weakness to damage with the water trait, since weaknesses is important in MH and Tobi in game is weakest to water.
@@Xyphyri Yes actually its one of those really cool things in the system, from the book itself "If you have a weakness to something that doesn't normally deal damage, such as water, you take damage equal to the weakness value when touched or affected by it."
With how the kadachi leaps from trees to attack from above, I would almost swap athletics to a high or moderate skill. Also thank you for showing off this monster builder! I'm using this from now on.

Thank the gods for this. 2e does have weaknesses and monster creation is one of them. This is brilliant. Pity Hero Lab has nothing like this (as far as I know). But hey - this is FREE so....
I don't feel like its exactly a weakness, is a very customizable system, with exact guidelines that work. Is complex to do by hand, i'll give you that. However, one of Paizo designer has made a video on how to create custom monsters with the GMG process, check it out
@@claudiolentini5067 I guess I mean more in terms of a 'system' of doing it. 1e was far easier where as 2e is more of the 'vibe'. If you have a link to that video, I'd be keen to watch it.
Absolutely fantastic video and I love the fact that I'm actually undertaking to translate all of the MHR monsters into PF2E right now, since it seemed like a fun endeavor and gives me some good monsters to play around with; admittedly, I've been using the star ranking as a guideline for their levels, so I would have put the Tobi Kadachi at level 9-10, but good to see another Monster Hunter fan out there.
Could you use this as a way to have a progression chart for a 1 to 20 " Class" of a monster as a PC character. I would love to make a hybrid mannequin security robot + gladiator robot from 1E . False flesh to appear human ,only two arms rather than four , retractable weapons and get rid of overclocking . Some sort of self repair capabilities.
Ooohhh. Interesting. I may play with this a bit. ATM I've been repurposing already built creatures for my campaign (Set in the Elemental Planes) but if I can make brand new ones? Hell yeah!
Nice build for Tobi. I think the only thing I would change is, because it's a beast but it's fairly clever, I'd reduce its Intelligence to like -2 (normally animals are -4 and mindless is -5).

I know this is a week old, but i truthfully do not know where else to ask... I plan on entering, I have my first submission 95% comeplete, and the concept for another one but I had a question, can you reference paizo entities? For example gods? or locations saying that this typically lives in "X" location?
