Waste of money, increasing the TB does nothing. Take you're money and throw it outside and shut the door that's what you are doing when you buy a bigger TB
Did you bore the other side of the stock Plenum throat? Otherwise I could easily see restriction. A 3in intake (76mm), to 75mm Throttle body, to 70mm Plenum throat opening. IMHO, the Plenum throat should be ported close as possible to 75mm without affecting structure integrity.
I’m an aircraft fabrication guy became a plant manager now runs his own business. Your mistake proofing is awesome. I hate that other manufacturer, So nothing but love
If the diameter of the intake tube, in this case the CAI by Injen, and the upper plenum's neck remain the same diameter, what is the gain in a slightly larger throttle body? Wouldn't the intake tube - be it cold air or otherwise - as well as the plenum's neck have to match the 75mm in order to be effective (or the throttle body's 3 1/4" vs 3" diameter)? Thanks.
the additional 5mm causes the blade to more closely match the size of the tube ID. so yes you're better off with a bigger tube but unless you want to tune it, screwing with the MAF tube size requires tuning.
@@Aeneas137 Thanks. I did end up getting the 75mm throttle body along with a 3.5" intake, cams, and a revup lower plennum swap. Along with all other mods the car already had the (conservative) tune yielded 290whp at 7k maintaining power all the way up to 8k RPM. I'm happy.
I heard after unplugging the throttle body to either clean it or change or bigger one you gotta do the throttle body relearn? Can you verify? Or is it just plug & play deal?
if you look in the comments we have answered this a few times more in depth. But the TLDR is you don't have to if your car drives fine. If it acts up, then yes, do a relearn
Im assuming this 75mm TB kit and the cold air intake would also fit into a 2004 Infiniti FX35 since it has exact same motor and is built on same chassis?
About 5hp xD, there is a video with a full bolt ons 350z DE, plenum, headers, exaust, TB, electrical, etc etc etc, final result? 285 whp.... 350z 370z, are just bad at gaining power, just leave it stock or go with FI and deal with all the troubles that comes with it xD I personally have mine stock, its a fun and cool car, but for real power i went with Mercedes AMGs , tons of power stock and with just a few bolts on they become total beasts, and they hsve the plus only real car enthusiasts know them, so no 16 years old kinds in civics reving at you at every single stoplight xD
Hello, will it fit if I already purchased from you Kinetix Velocity Monifold and Injen long cold air intake, I'm afraid it will push CAI too much to the side and it will touch something around!
I suspect it’s similar gain as the NWP, looking at NWP dyno ofc there is gain up top, but if your peak power is at (example) 6,200RPM and anything after that it’s less then peak power, why would I want to shift after my peak power RPM when I’m making less then peak power. 😂 did I explain myself?
it is not necessary but should be done at some point. the car will start and drive just as it should. To gain the most power out of this modification, going in for a tune with other supporting mods is ideal
Concept Z Performance my engine Mod list Invidia Gemini catback exhaust, test pipes, cold air intake, and a tune already on the car, would you recommend not doing a throttle body relearn still
@@pat-1235 With the different modifications its hard to say how your car will react. If you feel the throttle is acting weird once installed it wouldn't hurt to do a relearn. Some situations it might not be needed, but whether it feels fine or not doing a relearn would be ideal
Ain't the manifold airintake hole still the same size ? So how is the bigger one better? What's the difference between the throttle stock and the bigger throttle one? I would buy kinetics but I would buy the new one that come out with to reduce weight and every weight you reduce totals up to the final weight
@@kempowarrior That'd be about the upper-upper limit after a tune lol. I know because I'm running the same TB kit 🤣 I definitely noticed a bit more throttle response though.
Hi! Due this is a VQ35 DE, if I buy a nissan pathfinder VQ35, that is the same but with a different multiple admision, is posible to install this aftermarket admision and also the throttle?
yeah, check it out right here. conceptzperformance.com/czp-75mm-hitachi-throttle-body-straight-adapter-vq35de-nissan-350z-infiniti-g35-czp-75-adpt-kt_p_32077.php
If you get it tuned after this install yes you getting 20hp there’s a video on RU-vid the putted the car on the dyno stock throttle body then they switch to 75mm throttle body and yhe gain is 20hp
Since i already buy the 75mm throttle, plug and play connector from nwp. I was thinking buying czp throttle adapter, my question is are they work together. I get the jerk when ever i let go gas pedal is this possible to eliminate that jerk if i change my throttle body adapter.
GRAND HIT I ended up getting a 90 degree fitted barb that connected the coolant lines that use to go through the throttle body. It was a simple process
I have the same HR engine in my 07 350z. Exhaust, big CAI's (admin tuning has the biggest) and a tune are the biggest gains. Smaller further gains really adds up $.
mine just failed, they said that it was an unauthorized after market mod... such bullshit, another reason to leave California. I'll reinstall my OEM and get it smoged and than swap back. It just sucks having to go through that annoying bs... there is no reason, this comes in the 09 Nissan Maxima, not a high performance sedan...
Ok you have a bigger hole now but the intake tube is still the smaller size. There is no more air getting to the bigger throttle body than the original one. To get more CFM you need 75mm tubing to feed the new throttle body.
Do these have a tapered bore like the NWP one does? Not sure if that will matter as much for N/A vs F/I? I am keen as this deal is cheaper then the NWP one. :-)
