This is the corner of synth RU-vid that I love; great musical demos that assume at least a bit of knowledge and focus on applied uses not pointless filter sweep on a simple wave type of shit
Another great video! I only started getting into Eurorack about 9 months ago and one thing that has really surprised me is how much more feature packed a lot of these modules are compared to what comes built into other high end hardware synths. I have a Moog Sub 37 and a Prophet Rev 2 and while their filters sound great, there are still only controls for filter and resonance so it's hard to find interesting and unique sounds from just that. I guess what I'm saying is I think most innovation is in eurorack right now and I hope the classic synth companies start taking note and expanding some of their features
I totally agree. The eurorack world is absolutely where is innovation is, and being able to combine these innovative modules is creating really unique systems!
Only just caught up on this one. Love how you say a super cool filter takes up a lot of rack space while maths sits there as a dual envelope consuming more space than a chip shop frequenter blocking the chip shop door.
At the end when you say “how nice is this fxaid algorithm” what one is it? Too gorgeous… and another vid that straight up hits it out of the park my dude👌
Awesome video with some great sounds man. I just ordered the qpas today and got delivery of Instruo CSL earlier, looking forward to shaping it with Qpas.
So grateful for your videos. Always great compositions going on (love the beats on this one), and I learn so much from you each time. Wanted to leave something in the tip jar this time.
I almost bought the qpas today then saw your dual dagger filter video and not even a comparison dual dagger imo is much better. Now off to thomann as they are out everywhere lol
have you tried stepping the smile pass with some stepped curve from pam's? i think that would be nice and i was wondering if that was possible (say cross moding a ramp with a square wave and make a descending or ascending stepped freq sweep on the qpas).
Blades I feel is way more strong when used as a voice, compared to QPAS which is best used as an effect on another voice, imo. Blades could not replace my QPAS for what I want it to do, which is basically acting like a chord resonator. But QPAS can't really act like a complex oscillator like Blades can
@@magnopere if you want a Co, buy one. Hating on a filter that can't be a vco is backwards....qpas is worth the squeeze for all the filtering, pinging and resonating loveliness.
