Hi Shelby! Great video! I have been wanting to add digital planners and art printables to my shop and loved that you mentioned it. I would also love a POD video - I opened my shop last November and have yet to make a sale.

It takes awhile! Something I definitely recommend is leaning into the holiday season to get some traction to your shop. I would even start preparing as early as July to create digital products centered around the holidays, both fall and winter/Christmas. I did this with art printables, and they sold super well during that three month period and it help me get tons of reviews and returning customers. I’ll definitely do a video about print on demand!

Yes! I recommend just watching some tutorial videos and playing around with a platform like Canva. Once you get a base design of a planner, that can be your “template“ and then you can just duplicate and reuse that for all of your different planner designs. Really creating that base planner is the most time-consuming.

From my understanding it’s okay to use AI, as it’s copyright free, but I would just recommend to disclose that it his AI generated and personally, I would make changes to the art. For example, have AI generate something and then you use that as a starting point, but alter it. I love that you brought this up though. I’ll do some thorough research and even chat with an Etsy associate, then do a video soon about it! :)

I actually have tested out art printables before and made over $1k in revenue within just a couple of months. So it’s possible! :) I just didn’t have time to keep it up.

@@shelbykayreeder I can tell you that making money in printables is possible but so is anything else you sell on Etsy. The point is 30k a month is very rare especially in Etsy. Ive been doing online sales since 1995 and it takes years..UNLESS..you have a heavy marketing budget or just happen to have a bit of good luck. I know the big thing is to make videos and drive traffic to your channel in hopes of selling affiliate or ads but atleast have some experience making those numbers and exposing them with a live video shot to prove this can be done. RU-vid is filled with people that have little to no experience while trying to sell people on the idea that 30k a month is attainable when they have never done it themselves.. Its giving false hopes to a degree which sets people up for failure. Can this be done? Yes. But not in the manner its hyped up to be. People need to know how hard it is to attain this. If they know this from the beginning, you will have a much higher retention and success rate.
