I am 58. I have been a survivor my entire life. Trauma after trauma after trauma. My goal for years and years was to figure out how to get over that hump from surviving Life to Living life. I came to a point where I thought it would never happen. I WAS the person who lost my faith and not only asked if there was a God but said there couldn't possibly be. And yes, I can't say exactly how,when and what...but God's Grace found me. It's a process but I am getting there... He's not finished... And there is so much more.....
Dear Polly, as I began reading your comment, I thought I was reading my own words. I'll be 58 next month and have had trauma upon trauma since the womb. At least that's how I used to look at it. It all culminated with the "perfect storm" the year I turned 50. I realized that God has been with me from the start for me to make it this far, so now, it's "ready or not, here I come". I've used social media to build a business and I'm honing skills others didn't mind using me for in the past, and I'm honoring myself and God by continuing to show up in my own way for the life God has given me. It's been the toughest thing ever, but I'm going for it. I love who I am and I'm determined to be good to me in ways that life hadn't been. The rest of my life is the best of my life. Please do not ever stop putting your sermons online. You are my favorite pastor and try my hardest to listen to one of your sermons every day and every day there’s at least one thing that hits home and grows me and my family in our walk with God. It could be a sermon you preached years ago and I’m just low listening it to the first time and I know it was me at for me to hear right there at that be the moment two or three years later. God works through you everyday and even years later you are still changing lives by putting your sermons online.
My 20 year old daughter introduced me to this church during covid. We listened online. 3 years later, my husband was in a bad place in life and was hospitalized, nearly died. Every night when I went back to the hotel alone, I listened to Pastor Furtick, cried, prayed to the Lord for help. We are in a much better place today. I thank God for your messages. God has your back!!! I actually felt God with me, guiding us. We are so grateful to God today. He showed my husband his weakness to guide him to embrace his strengths. God is good. He is our strength and song.

I have strayed away from my faith for years because I didn't have the strength. Recently I have been diving back in and trusting the lord more. I never gave up on God just like he never gave up on me. I needed this today, I was finally able to watch and I am so glad I did. Brother Steven Furtick, this is a old message. I do know the word does not go void. I had to tell you and myself… I have listen to this over and over…. I have prayed for years for God to walk with me and show me… he has shown me lil by lil and I was put thru the biggest storm, I did not know if I would live or die going thru it. God got my attention bc All I could do is stand still and scream out in worship to God for the hurt to make it. I could go on and on. I have been asking God How and why and show me… This message has spoke Volumes to my spirit , so much depth into my entire life… I have hid my Strength to the point of not knowing ( frozen in time) OMG. Thank you and I love your obedience , I’m using my strength that I have lil by lil. Thank you and your wife & church. I have watched you a bit talking to Bishop Jakes , but I finally started listening to you. This has set me free. God made a warrior when he made me , but I’ve lived my life trusting in God…. I got stuck I will not live in fear one more min. This spoke to me this week and each time I listen it speaks more. ❤
I was hurt by someone when I was young and I blamed god for not saving me and little did I know that he did save me, he gave me the courage to save myself. And that’s more than I could ever ask for. I believe if someone else had saved me then I would be in a darker place today. He made me strong and that is something I wish I valued earlier on in my life.
Oh this was definitely for me, I'm a recovering addict one year clean this month but God is sending me back to the place I left and I know the very thing I was worried about is going to be my strength, God's about to use my story to help others

Thank you for this word ,I'm a survivor. Though sometimes it doesn't feel like it. In 2021 I went through a divorce and in 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer . End of 2023 I finished all my cancer treatment . Now I'm taking it one day at a time trying to get myself back to normal. I know God is up to something, He is not done with me yet and He has been taking care of my daily needs and keeping me sane and at peace with my circumstances 🙏

This is for me. I’ve been struggling with old patterns cropping up in my life. It’s been making me feel defeated. With God I have strength to overcome anything that stands in my way of being who He has called me to be. No matter what the problem is with God you can overcome anything.
I don't know if you will see my comment or not, pastor Steven, but the the part about wishing to be tall touched my heart deeply...I have Turner syndrome which is a chromosomal condition that affects females. The most common feature of Turner syndrome is short stature. I am 37 and have suffered a lot for being short and not fitting in!!! Those words were just for me!!!❤

As I was doing arm curls, you said he’s strengthening a lot more than just your biceps. 😮 This message spoke to me on so many levels. Love what you said about not being afraid anymore stepping out in who has God called you to be, not shrinking back, because God is able. He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. This word is for me. I suffer from gallstones with out a gallbladder. I’ve had 14 surgeries to remove the stones. I was supposed to have a major operation to realign my digestive system 4days before Christmas. I went into anaphylaxis due to a paralytic medication I was given for surgery to intubate me. CPR brought me back but with broken ribs and sternum. A week ago I started experiencing digestive pains and severe heartburn. This is usually a precursor to my stones developing. I am praying to God for no more stone to form in my common bile duct. To keep my digestive system healthy and operating in alignment with his design. .
I work at night. I couldn’t sleep after a few hours because I was unsettled. I asked God to show me what I needed so I could rest. He showed me what He’s been telling me to do. Then I had a frustrating moment with my child so I decided to listen to Pastor Steve. This message made it abundantly clear that God is speaking to me! I’m going in! This is for me. Last night I was at work, and the devil was just in my mind. And I started questioning my faith, so I prayed last night and asked God to forgive me for my doubts. I got up this morning and got to work I work second shift. And I turned this on and the part where you said "have you started loosing faith and it felt like something snatched you or something smacked you, that was God. I love my father so much and am truly grateful for him everyday this was definitely for me I needed this. I've been battling my head along here lately and this message really spoke to me although I do have one question. How do I know what my purpose is, I've been looking and looking and waiting and praying but I feel like I'm turning in circles now. Any advice?
Have you tried fasting from carnal wants? The Bible speaks of fasting for prayers(manifestation) creates a clearer pathway during prayer by being present with the Holy Spirit. I believe that this is a start in that direction. You can look this up if you're not familiar. Jesus fasted regularly. This type of prayer (meditation) creates a clearer pathway. Everyday life will block out this process. It's very important for our relationship with our Father(God) Hope this helps.

Don’t dwell on the misery for it is just temporary. 🙌🏻 When Jesus said on the cross “It is finished”, it includes every negative thing that is happening and will happen in our lives… Our problems- It is finished. Our sickness- It is finished. Our poverty- It is finished. Jesus gave His life for us, for He loves us. Let’s choose to remember God’s love & sacrifice every day.
