Now tell them how it’s a minimum price of $5-7.50 in order for the sale to be completed. Most items range from .05-.20 on average. That’s up to 50 books to make $7.50 just to send them out. It’s a nice way to clean out storage but not a business model.
Please be aware that certain corporations have set up apps and are trying to remove certain books from society, especially older original, historical, informative books.
My best media buy was about 5 boxes at auction of DVDs. A lot of old science fiction series and documentaries which did OK but the big earner was 2 boxes of railway DVDs. I sold loads of train ones for in the region of £5 - £10 each, i think they cost me about 10p each in the auction.
I can't wait to use the app, it will be such a time saver. Unfortunately, I can't get the app to work at the moment. You must be registered to use it, and when I try and sign up through the app a message says loading and it freezes at that point.
Thanks for the tip on scan angel. I've got a stack of low value media to process, so I'll be using that to pre-sort them and make a stack for each buyer before I scan them into their apps.
Jesus Christ is the only hope in this world no other gods will lead you to heaven There is no security or hope with out Jesus Christ in this world come and repent of all sins today Today is the day of salvation come to the loving savior Today repent and do not go to hell Come to Jesus Christ today Jesus Christ is only way to heaven Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today Holy Spirit Can give you peace guidance and purpose and the Lord will John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus
The app sounds like a godsend. My husband has a charity book stall at his work that sometimes gets inundated with donations so I help out by scanning to ziffit et al. It takes forever. This should make it much easier!
I've been using that app for quite a while. I do it every few months. Before I used to have all the apps open before and scanned into all for the best price.
The ScanAngel app gets a 'No' from me. An advert before every scan that is made and not banner ads either but full on annoying videos with audio for chat apps and the like - just awful. Ran three Playstation 1 games and a PC game through it and got a 'nil' each time. I removed the app almost immediately.
This sounds good, thanks for sharing! Wish I'd seen it a few days ago, as I've recently scanned a heap of books for Ziffit and WeBuyBooks and it got a tad confusing sorting out which was the best price. I normally find Ziffit the best - and it did end up with three boxfuls - but got some surprisingly good prices on a boxful of books for WeBuy. Sometimes it's hard to predict what they'll like!
Got a massive box of Indian Bollywood type music cds… someone in my village gave them away free- been on death mountain for a year I might try scanning them 😂😂
..this guy went to the library the other day..he said to the assistant loudly ..'ill have fish n' chips and a can of coke please..!!..she said please don't shout..you do know this is a library ??.. he said 'oh sorry in a quiet voice..I'll have fish 'n chips and a can of coke..😅
Hi Nic, I found ScanAngel online. There was no link below your video. Nor could I see a link to your Classic CD video, which I would have watched. If you do a follow-up ScanAngel video, would you please cover the BOOK CONDITION requirements for Ziffit and 'We Buy Books'. Thanks
@@chinaforeverblue You box it yourself and either get it collected from your address or you drop off at a local collection point. I missed the Collection 3x in a row since making this comment and missed out on the order. I now have 5 boxes of books sitting there
Nic, these book buying apps make me wonder if this is a way of removing certain books from society, especially original, historical, informative books. In this era we are in now, they are b a n n i n g and c o n f i s c a t I n g certain fact and fiction books. Could we all just bare this in mind, and sell those types of books a different way, and sell to actual people who want those type of books. We must keep them in society.
I know you've already sold it now so it doesn't really matter, but that Enjoy The Rumours CD is a bootleg and eBay doesn't really like people selling them types of CDs on there. Just be careful picking up unofficial bootleg CDs because there's always the chance eBay could remove the listing.
Unfortunately for dvds and blurays it does not compare prices with CEX and the prices given on the app were on average half of what CEX were offering for the same items so until it includes price comparison with CEX it really is of only any use with books. However if they can integrate CEX pricing then it could prove really useful.
Hi I downloaded the app it's great just wish you can touch the app you want to send it and it goes into the apps basket also wish you can keep scanning not have to come out each time as I scan about 200 a day
One more thing about the app. When reviewing the results, you cannot go back to the scan screen. I don't know if it works for everyone or if it's just me. then exit the app and re-enter.
I have got around 5000+ DVDs, CDs and games after inheriting the collection of a family member. I did come across your videos and thought of scanning them but after one box, I realised it’s definitely not my cup of cake… Scanning through one box for a few quids..Not for me. If anyone wants them, can have a look at them, just come and offer me a price. I am based in London.
Hi there, I’m interested in selling cd’s as I have a hoard of them but in your video you say you are getting ready to list your cd’s but you don’t say where? EBay? I take it you are not scanning through scan angel?
Hey great video and funny I e just goad a load of books and this seems like the best idea to do with them just wondering do they take all books or is it condition variant because I’ve heard if they arnt the best quality they keep them and don’t pay and you don’t get your books back has this happened to you or is it a bull but great video tho. Like say I’ve got 1000 books so would like to hear back from you
The app is pretty buggy at the moment i couldnt sign up because i didnt put the activation code that had been sent to my email in 15 minutes and theres no way to request another! pretty poor, had to use another email to open an aacount and as others say you get an advert after every scan so realy slows down the process. I don't know whether you got a version without ads Nic
love the channel, but you are getting ridiculous prices with buying books at 0,10/020 cents a book...?! People who are selling you that should be locked up really. Getting books for cheap anywhere else where your buying at thriftstores/flea markets, etc is around 1 tot 2 euro/pound, for the rest of Europe, etc. Most thriftstores are selling books for more, especially bigger non fiction art books etc. So love the channel but this flip option you are doing is for the 1% of resellers I think who can do this. Or if you are getting books for free. Have a good one and keep up the good work!
