Hello Holly I liked this video. I want to ask a question ... How can I study at this university? And how much is the cost? .. And what is the age allowed?! Waiting for your answer .. ^ - ^♥♥♥
Holly Gabrielle I really like youre videos! They motivate me to do stuff for school💪👌😝 also DON'T stop doing them😂😂yore funny too ! ( the time when you returned youre book to the school library 😂) { sorry I'm not really good in english👀❤️❤️ much love!
Holly Gabrielle I looove them, they bring such brightness and dimension to notes but they smear a lot and I also do prefer the white paper and graphite pencil look. Hahaha
Lol. I just realised after she said it that i dont like highlighting either. It feels very childish and not so important lol. However i have a lot of highlighter for buller journaling
I'm medical student literally i make my notes as like you and when I'm studying i switched off my phone so it's a request to every student that off your phones and then you concentrate on your studies. Literally it's work👍
Well not possible these days especially the the text books are supplied as pdf and you gotta take notes from these. (Online class is sure a different thing......tks to COVID 19...🤦)
I'm starting my PhD next month. Even being a student of english literature, this video is great with tips and tricks. It has inspired me to start working harder than ever. I found your channel two days ago and I cannot stop watching your videos. They are all so helpful, articulate, detailed and meticulous in their approach. Thank you so much! Love from India.
I absolutely love your note style. It doesn’t fall quite into that category of notes that other study youtubers make with neat lines and fancy lettered titles and I appreciate that. This is legit helpful and it’s nicer for people like me who are visual learners
Exactly!!! Writing 3 pages in 7 to 10 minutes? *dense notes?* easy! (Just kidding but you get what i mean. Ugh we're literally trained to answer one page answers in 2 to 5 minutes and com onnn the hand cramps at the end of the exams! Even when making regular notes!! Dem hand cramps tho.)
@@hashibuzzamanhashibuzzaman2388 no one said it didnt. But i think we're kinda mocking the asian kid stereotype😊😊. Same applies to majority of the asian countries
@@shatarupasahu oof. The start of my page looks like it could be a letter to the prime minister and the end page looks like me passing chits to my friends in classes.😂😂😂😂
I think your colourful pens are Steadtler, not Stabilo. 😂 sorry I’m obsessed with stationery so I thought I would correct you. Thank you so much for the Video Holly. It’s so helpful.♥️
Without lines the notes look so aesthetic! 💜 I love lifestyle vids for some reason, especially uni ones and I DON'T KNOW WHY, but Holly is definitely a source of uni vids that I watch all the timeeee She just seems really put together and I love it
I am an American. I have ADHD and I am 50. I feel that when I was growing up there was not much clarity about "studying" and I have always been sort of obsessed with note taking styles, learning things, etc.. I have been lazy most of my life and highlighted or underlined things in books, rather than taking notes on what I am reading.... In the US we don't revise anything really.. and so I have been fascinated with the process of "REVISION". Thank you for demonstrating your technique. I am a life long learner and I am currently learning Spanish and Latin.. I like the idea of the blank notebook pages (what size is that?? and they are only 2 hole punched???). This gives more concrete ideas and methods that I will try and incorporate into any subject I am trying to learn... Thank you.
I prefer blank sheets over the ruled ones too Holly. They surely help me to retain and recall all my information, much more faster than the ruled ones.
Ive been using my notes for studying since elementary school and everyone always thought that it was sooo time consuming and everybody always studied straight out the book and i would kinda envy them bc i though that it was just me who needed "special treatment" when it comes to studying. Like I just absorb the information so much better while I'm writing it down and it's so much easier for me to revise and everything's just perfect for my needs. There's nothing that i hate more than studying straight outta book
Absolutely loved the video. Started yesterday writing my A level biology notes on plain paper for the practicals so this video could not have came at a better time. Already seeing the benefits. Thankyou!!
Use small Roller scale. It is the best for parallel lines and neat work. in engineering we used it for assignments. it will increase your speed of taking notes..
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Holly, you have no idea how much load you have put off my head. Now I am completely ready for my semester and upcoming exams. Love from India
Have you ever tried to use mild liners? They are highlighters but the tones are WAYY more muted. I agree with you about the bright highlighters, they annoy me, but mild liners are so great!! You can get them in amazon if you are interested.
I don't know if I'm late but I recommend using the mildliners because it is less bright and it doesn't really smudge, I like using the grey ones because it's very minimalistic and I've been using my grey highlighters for a year and a half and it hasn't run out yet so I think it's good
Pastel stabilo highlighters are the bomb, my main set I've had my entire life (literally grey up with them, parents had them before me) but they've not run out yet! Maybe you could try the pastel ones if you wanted a change? They're a lot softer on the eye
You are highly-qualified to teach .I'm new I'm older. If it takes me longer because I'm a slow learner and quick analyzer I agree or I try and do what's best for me. Learning thanks for the tips and you are awesome
I recently started using blank paper for my notes after having watched one of your daily vlogs and I have to admit it's sooo much better than using lined paper :) tysm for ze advice
In your revision videos you usually address A-levels and GCSE but would it possible if you could include a section on revising for natsci specifically? / UNIVERSITY SCIENCE DEGREES it would be sososo helpful
HI! I just discovered your channel and I am obsessed. You inspired me to do yoga every morning and it's really been helping with my anxiety! Keep doing what you're doing! cause you're amazing
Yeah you are right but what you can do is take initial notes during class, well they are going to be ugly. After you come home you can rewrite them with colors
You can record the lectures in college and pay attention, then later you can go home and go over it and write it neatly. It will take time but it will make sure that you have the best notes
Omg im still in high school but Im becoming a doctor and for thay i would need to do science. And i never knew that u had so much work!!!.ur amzing and hardworking.i hope am as productive as u when im older and strting uni😊😊😊
I love a minimalist note ! I tried decorating my notes to make it visually appealing but it just takes so dam much time !! I just start overdoing it . Maybe decorating works for some , but not for me . I'm fine with using 2/3 pens, blank paper and neat writing. But you do what works for you the best!
OMG! I thought I’m the weird one among friends, as I always make my notes in plain papers and not so colourful like you do, but what works for us doesn’t always work for others :) In one semester I could revise 3-4 times that the last revision usually is the most condensed revision of the chapter, and in the end those are the ones I use to study for the exams. Love your videos!!! 😊
YESSSS! although i'm not really into minimalistic notes it was very interesting to see how you do yours. oh and if u don't like "neon" highlighters, there are some pastel ones like stabilo boss or mildliners. they are so good omg. loved the video! :)
Really... this is just so useful! I mean, I always get addicted over the pinterest aesthetic notes and when i try to make them, things just end up in a mess and I got nothing done. But I really like how you make your notes as simple as possible and using only 3-4 colors, and underlining + color coding different info! I especially like your opinion about highlighters... well of course there are pastel highlighters right now but the thing with highlighters now it's that i just feel that they are kinda not necessary if you can underline and yes, the problem is IT SMUDGES! Tq so much!!
Thank you Holly! This helped me a lot since i have problem doing notes! Me myself hates to use highlighter so ur methods are so useful for me thankyou😍😍🥰
Have you ever tried the Zebra Mildliner highlighters? Would totally recommend them. They are double ended so the have a normal side and then a marker side on the other end so you can underline. If you try them get the pack that has the pink cover because they are pastel.
I am new here, but I really like your videos. Unlike the others, your notes are more practical and useful. Hope I can improve my studies to prepare for public exam.💪💪
Learning styles can be tactile, visual, kinesthetic or auditory (people possess all four abilities, but they might develop one or two of them more than the other ones). You definitely seem to be a visual-kinesthetic type: you retain information better by seeing it and by moving your hand to write it down. :)
Hey Holly from 4 years ago. Just wanted to tell you how your life has changed. You graduated 🎓. And after that your life started to flourish. You began to travel the world 🌎, you learned new things, met new people (my favourite was and still is Daniella, the guy) and the biggest thing is that along the way you found love ❤. You became the best version of yourself. You are so much stronger right now, not to say you weren't strong enough back then but your energy certainly has changed 👌. All I can say is keep it up and always remember that no one is gonna love you more than yourself 🥰. But I probably love you more 😘😂
i totally agree with her once you start using plain paper for notes it is much better idk for yall but i am able to learn faster in plain paper then ruled line papers
Thanks holly for this great video I have learned that we don’t have to stick to a certain study method and that we can be flexible , I really struggled with this part .
After beginning to watch your videos, I just started using a binder and plain paper too! I absolutely love it, I start high school next year, and am so so excited, Your videos are so motivational, and I always feel really productive after watching one. You are amazing!!
Hi, Holly! I agree with you completely. I actually started using plain paper to write up notes since I came into uni, the same as you, and I find it easier for me to learn informations and organize them as well! But as you know it's quite time-consuming to copy all those materials, sometimes I would just wonder if it is the best way, like are there any other ways that may allow me to finish it more quickly so that I can have more time doing other stuff. So do you struggle with trying to be more productive? How long does it usually take you to write all those notes?
Thank you for this!!! I will try out this method in the run up to my exams in may - I think it will be very helpful for my revision especially with biology where there's so much information.
I have the 6 colours of the Stabilo Boss pastel highlighters and they're the best things EVER (the yellow is a little too enthusiastic but the rest are perfect)
Love you!! I've got about 5 of your recent vids in my watch later bc there's no time to watch everything with exams coming 😭 means I need to make time for this on the weekend 😉
Omg I agree so much with highlighters. I can only use yellow or pastel highlighters or make my own revision resources and then just highlight it in yellow. The other colours are just so distracting!
