Changing your skates for the tiger ice is also a huge upgrade. I soldered on Kailh Gm 2.0 switches as well, which sounds and feels nicer than the stock Omron switches. Just recently got the Finalmouse Starlight 12, and now my superlight feels like a brick lol
@@lolieru5275 wouldn’t recommend trying it unless you’re really experienced. I’m pretty experienced with soldering and recently fried a g305 I got for $3 trying to change the switches. I’ve even made a 3D printed ultralight wireless mouse that weighs 45grams. Not only would you need a soldering iron, but you’ll also need a solder sucker. If you don’t solder them on well too, the switches could end up being loose and wobbly. I wouldn’t recommend altering a $150-$400 mouse like some of these hobbyists do unless you practice with some smaller projects first because you’ll void your warranty if you f it up
@@b0_om3rtrash67 It was a very similar experience going from g pro to g pro x superlight, just way lighter feeling. To answer your question, yes it makes you better having a lighter mouse as long as you can grip it well
@@2xenn lethal gaming gear if your in the USA. Source: American that just bought their 2nd pair of skates and first pair of BT.L grips from lethal for my new G pro superlight
I remember seeing this vid a while ago and saying "Nah he cappin" and went on with my day and now I saw it again and was at my setup with the box so I checked and he was indeed not capping. appreciate it
I was looking for the led settings, saw your video, refused to believe i missed anything in the box, checked the box, found the grips, and they feel amazing, I cant believe ive been using it for like 3 years without these
I used these side grips but I use my mouse a lot so they lost the adhesion, if you want to make your own. 1. Masking Tape 2. Scissors 3. Hockey Stick Grip Roll (3.99) or Baseball Bat Grip Roll 4. Use a pencil to shade on masking tape. I have Tiger ICE skates also, but my favorite is the grips. I have Baseball grips and they work great!
Honestly, I had 100% missed the whole little bag of extras like the grip staps and the weighted bottom and just because I saw this, I investigated further into the superlight box and found them! Thank you so much dude, you're a life saver!
The Superlight's coating is rlly grippy without grip tape if your hand are moist, it may be a bit gross but lick your palm, middle finger, and index finger, the mouse will be glued to your hand
Well I would disagree with saying the superlight has a good abs plastic.. I don’t have sweaty hand at all.. and it still just isn’t comfortable to use with out any type of grips
Bruh I did the same thing happend to me yesterday. I'm laughing my ass off. good vid 😂👍 also I like the one for the mouse button. It's so nice if you want to drag click.
I learned the hard way not to throw away the box back around 2008 when I needed a code for my new headset that was on the box. Thankfully I went to the store and the guy behind the counter found the code for me after telling me off about throwing away the box.
I put those on and after a few weeks (I'm a very sweaty person) they became very gross feeling and also started to slide out of the original placement i had them in, leaving my hand/fingers to sometimes touch the glue underneath. Took them off, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and the mouse was 10x better for me.
I originally attached the grips when I got my mouse. About 8 months later, they started melting off, maybe because too much heat or pressure from my thumb. It got gooey and gross, so I ripped them off. So far I'm liking the slick feel without the grips.
I also had to rip off the one for my thumb, I think it was because I used both thumb buttons so much, and so I always moved the grip sticker slightly back and forth without really noticing it, which leaded to the sticker melting off
I like the Aria XD7 better cause it’s about the same dimensions, but it’s an egg & the slim rear design of the mouse, for me, adds a bit of control & an overall better feeling for someone who plays with a relaxed claw grip. In my opinion, the Super Heavy is meant for palm grip. Also, it’s nothing substantial, but the XD7 is 6 grams lighter & $40 cheaper.
the stock ones suck in my experience, theyre not textured enough and they seperated from the glue within a month. I got some 3rd party ones that have a better texture and last me about 6months+ before they show real signs of wear
Ive had superlight as my main since release and the only upgrade/modification i found useful was to change the mouse skates since the default ones are just 2 layers of super thin plastic, while being fragile, much more prone to scratches and having terrible glide compared to "ice mouse skates". Regarding mousepads for the superlight, ive tried a bunch xtrfy, qck heavy, zowie's and none of them come close to being as good as the g640, it just has to be broken in which takes a week of moderate gaming mby less.
honestly I used these as soon as I got my G Pro but when they begin to wear off it's a pain in the ass to remove the glue. I removed them and I'm not using grips right now, but I feel no difference I can grip the mouse anyways
Ive had a normal g pro for like 4 months but do you think it is worth to upgrade to superligth and also are these grip included in the normal g pro box?
Honestly probably not worth the upgrade.. but that’s just me.. both are a really great mouse.. and I really don’t know if the grips are in the g pro box I would think so.
@@AustinPegoda alright ty sir. I will probably buy the superlight when mine starts double clicking or when it wears down. I just checked. No it doesnt come with any sadly
It’s called grip tape btw man, I use it on all my mice it’s hard to go back, it’s like a custom texture for your mouse because you can choose which ones you want to buy
Appreciate it man, I checked my wife's superlight box and noticed they're black. She won't want that on her pink superlight so I put them on my regular black g pro wireless haha. It feels SO different, in a good way. Can't wait to play. Currently Ascendant 2 in Val after a month of playing, hope it stops my whiffs xD
i mean i understand this video HOWEVER, there are some actual GENUINE mods yall can do to ur SL and itll be CRAZY good. i personally dont use non of the grip tape due to my play style and grip, i also clean my mouse ALOT but like yeah, some mods out there can make ur mouse lighter and more useful. also research mousepads cus those have a huge affect
I used these trashy grips or whatever for a very long time and it really wore down, took them off and now I feel like it's alot easier to use my mouse, at the start I thought it was way to "slippery" but I adjusted really quick. also csgo over valorant any day
@@wes2891 you never know. If seen some people use expensive keycaps on budget builds since I guess it changes the sound of the way the keyboard sounds. I sometimes do that to. Granted my most expensive keyboard is a chimera
I used the top ones but after about 5-6 months of use, they were dirty and didn’t make the mouse look good. Also, they didn’t really help my hand adhere to the mouse as nicely as the stock surface, which after some playtime I can get a good grip on.
