Definitely the most popular recycled gas bottle stove in production. I make dozens of these every year and they are fitted to Cabins, Yurts, Houseboats and Tiny homes. This is the smallest of the Blazing Stoves collection and has been in production for over twenty years.

Great info! Beautiful stoves! I have found that when I watch these videos, it's best done from my own bunker, with a warm blanket and a cuppa tea to soothe me when I get scared. Sometimes I have to pause the video, take some deep breaths and do a short meditation before continuing. Hey, it works for me!

Im growing mushrooms in the concrete bunker now so ive got nowhere to herd the neighbors. watch my recent video about the boiler from a 1920s convent powering my mushroom steriliser . Ultimately Ill be growing $3000pw in gourmet mushrooms and the whole enterprise is made from other people's junk.

Thanks Robert. Ive had people tell me some utter rubbish about how the lpg soaks into the metal and you cant succesfully purge it. Ive made these every year since year 2000- about 50 per year. that's 1200 bottles and Im still here to tell the story.

A great video, I picked up your suggestion of a baffle plate design for my own project. Can you tell or show me how you kept the glass in? i like the idea of the 'W' clips from recycled steel tape, but not sure how you set the glass in place with them. Thanks again for a great vid. Winter here now in Oz, so keen to get the glass door made up and installed on my little heater. Currently just a full steel. I'm also finding if 'choof choof choofs' a bit, so I'm wondering if I don't have enough air inlet, or need to choke the flue down a bit. 9kg cylinder, 90mm flue, ~42mm air inlet. Chimney about 1.7m. I notice your air inlets are higher than most and mine is at the base of the cylinder. Cheer, Paul.

Nice job. Just a thought; Bending the frame sections around the smaller base of that particular bottle, while being a little more difficult, might work better.

lol!- many feedbacks telling me that their flower pot water filter doesnt work. I think many plant pots must get a coating on them to slow transpiration. I would suggest a good hot fire in one to burn of any coating.

Thank you for the how to video I am fabricating one for myself Question does the heat plate on the inside remove or was it welded solid ? And noticed that one had a exhaust damper. Do you recommend adding one? Thank you. Great video
@t.h.o.r.
@t.h.o.r. 9 месяцев назад
the semi circular double burn plate sits on three pins and is replaceable. you can also tune the performance by trimming the front- (straight) edge of the plate. on installations with a long chimney there is too much draw so the damper is how you slow it down after you get it started. minimum chimney length is 1.5m. any chimney over 3m needs a damper. I hope that helps?

A few things: Maybe wear two gloves when welding, much safer. Flux-cored welding wire gives off extremely toxic fumes. Do you wear a respirator? The welder won't say 'I'm sorry'.

Lol yes. Its like one of those spot the mistake videos isnt it?
@karmann1799
@karmann1799 4 месяца назад
Talking about safety. You should be wearing gloves and long sleeves while welding. The light is unfiltered UV. So you can actually get sunburnt from it.
@t.h.o.r.
@t.h.o.r. 4 месяца назад
When you reverse polarity for flux core wire - you eliminate the UV

Very nice work! Just wondering where you got the 3kw capacity from? I was hoping to get somewhere around 5kw for a sauna out of a 9kg gas bottle stove. Maybe I'll need to go bigger?
@t.h.o.r.
@t.h.o.r. 10 месяцев назад
burning with hardwood or a gentle forced fan induction you will easily get 5Kw. Or a bigger diameter longer chimney. About 4metres will give you 5Kw

I just watched the vid again- that was a small 4.5 kg bottle. hence the 3Kw
@t.h.o.r.
@t.h.o.r. 10 месяцев назад
That a real overkill. 120mm is the 'sporty model' you could use an adaptor transition cone to make it fit as getting a 150mm flue into a 300mm dia body is pretty ugly. A flue that big will suck a lot of embers and put out a lot of sparks @@joshb6993 Ive got lots of fire videos. Rocket stoves are awesome too if you have lots of >30mm tree branches each winter they are a great way of utilising waste for heat.

Do you work for the safety department at work? Most folks work in a way that they are comfortable with. I notice you don’t wear gloves whilst welding. You do nice work on your project….perhaps it is appropriate for people to decide on their own to what they do or don’t. Just get over it please! Nice stove!

This is awesome. Really great work! There's real thought and craftsmanship in this. Not a half-arsed cut holes, weld legs job done. The whole video and explanation was really good. It reminded me of my mentor in my first carpentry job, a very VERY skilled cabinet maker. Meticulous in his work and frustrating at times but the end result was flawless. Truly hats off to you my man. These are the skills and effort that this generation lacks, it transfers to all aspects of life. Sad times

@@t.h.o.r. You have production down though, mine in my opinion is too costly to make and sell. I really like your design and a great job on the finish. I have been looking for a more professional coating to use on mine, and the paint you used seems like a good fit next time it comes in for refinishing. These things are so fun to make and it is great to see someone take the time to and care to do proper work! I subscribed.
