I sprinkle ground cinnamon on my plants that are prone to powdery mildew. Mostly roses, the leaves have to be wet for it to adhere. Cinnamon is a natural fungicide, you can put it in your shoes for any fungus. I love the mix that you use!thanks for sharing your information with us.
Cinnamin kills that fungus? I was told to use baking soda and or cayenne pepper as well . I wanna go with what's gonna actually work and not be just wasting money or products..
Cool video, I am a legal cannabis grower here in SW Michigan and PM can be a real pain. What works for us here is an H2O/ H2O2 mix and worm castings as a soil cap. Ratio: 12 T (3/4 C) hydrogen peroxide to 1 gal water, preferably distilled, it really works good. May I say, you are so very darn cute, love your smile and energy.
excited to try this this week. My roses are suffering, buds drooping. Hoping I get some good results. I had to just these babies to the ground last year due to house painting. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for sharing thus info as im dealing with such on my Rose's I noticed white stuff on some the other day and brown spots on some leaves as well. I been break them leaves off and even cut back parts and thrown that out .. Im looking for something natural to kill this stuff .. This video is very informative and helpful.
Great content, thank you so much! My Babies have been afflicted by that darn fungus-I’ve thrown Home Depot products left and right and nothing works. Thank you!!!
Can you do a video on rust spots? I have some holly hock I planted from seed last year and it grew wonderfully. It’s coming up this year and quickly develops rust spots, so I have been cutting off leaves and disposing of them, but the rust spots keeps coming. What can I do?
I have found rust on hollyhocks is unbeatable in our climate. There's at least one perennial species that i'm aware of that is rust-resistant; Alcea rugosa. Might be some other garden cultivars that are disease resistant
I've tried milk and water mix recently and didn't find it obviously effective for the PM on my tomatoes. Although only test once on a number of plants effected by it. Neem oil seemed much more effective. I sprayed a number of my plants with it for a white fly issue and had next to no PM on those plants.
I would recommend avoiding overhead watering and go for soaker hoses. And I don’t often get it on my squash because I don’t overhead water. I only rarely get it, so I don’t pretreat. I have a video coming out on this topic soon!
The reason this works is because the amino acids and calcium create a scenario that allows the plant to uptake calcium at a greater rate. This in turn fights off powdery mildew.
No not really. The only approved organic fungicide that works even remotely. Well that I know of is copper and even then it is pretty toxic. It’s best to plant resistant varieties.
Less sulfer in the air is totally my guess In my area we removed our monster coal burning hydro plant 5 years ago and the last 5 years the mould has been out of control here Prior to 5 years i never even knew there was such thing as powder mold Theres also a reason why greenhouses burn sulfer on a regular basis Google greenhouse sulfer Fyi-they dont use sulfer on tobacco because burning sulfer causes sulfer dioxide which can kill u
@@ParkrosePermaculture while not all milk has salt added to it there are enough varieties that do add salt to not recommend milk as an additive. I’m sorry but I’m looking at a carton of milk that has sodium listed in the ingredients.
@@DoseofScienceDoSYou do know that yogurt is made from milk right? The sodium found in milk is not an additive but naturally from the source...aka 🐄. All of the experts are saying milk...not one has said yogurt. It's the proteins and enzymes in milk that create an antifungal property which are not necessarily the same in yogurt.
She is me. It’s amazing to me that no matter how slow or fast I talk, a rando on the internet won’t like it and will freely give their opinion. Thanks for commenting, though. It helps the algorithm.
Good video however, waste speech for 12 minutes. Just come to the content rather than wasting time. Thanks for the tips provided and you could have shown before and after instead of this long speech.
Thanks for your feedback, but I’m not interested in changing my style. For folks with a shorter attention span, they may prefer content on platforms like Tiktok. Glad the tips were helpful for you!
@@ParkrosePermaculture I have a shorter attention span and really enjoy your videos. The op wasn’t worth your response. But do you, I’m being extra sensitive today 👍
