Google Slides is not really great in terms of transitions and animations, and I find it kind of annoying. I don't have the Morph effect and I hate it. Wish Google Slides does better than rn.

I agree, google needs to get off their butt and start making their programs worth using. PowerPoint is *FREE* and you get way better... -everything!! compared to Google also free but (kindof lame) program. I hope to see an upgrade for GS in the future.

I wish microsoft would just supercharge the animation side of powerpoint. With the morph animation is already a powerhouse, imagine if they extend on that.

I figured out if you don’t have power point to have a picture of the words transparent you can go on remove bg and remove the background of letters and then download that and put it over your image on canva that way you can have the same animation as powerpoint!I hope that helps.

Canva actually has the morph transition, but it goes by the name of match and move.

And you need to select both the text and the image the way he does, not with shift+click. It happened to me too and I solved it by doing that

Make sure you have the latest version of PowerPoint, or search it up on the search bar in the upper part

I guess u have to click the outer box and then holding shift, click the inner text box .. then only the merge shapes can be clicked

Maybe you guys are using a browser version of ppt, such as PowerPoint online, or you could be using the wrong version. Hope that helps!

Same issue but I'd already fixed with this. It's from text default, you need to delete it first and double-click/use your narrow and start the text.

You can only use the morph if you have the app downloaded. The web version lacks some features.
