I was only four years into my army career. I had only 1 year of giving my life to Jesus and had just gotten married. October 1990, my unit came on orders to support Desert Shield, Desert Storm. I left my wife pregnant, but I knew God went with me. Psalm 91 was and will always be my favorite. The US was confronting the largest army back then. And just like God says " A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee." Yes he kept his promise. Saddams army were rendering to us by hundreds and thousands. I went through 3 different combat tours and have come back unharmed. His protection has surrounded me then and still today. Amen
