I spent a lot of in that area in the early 90’s when I was in school in Gville. We used to ride bicycles from Gville to the north entrance and sneak into the park. We would inflate about 20 tubes and make a raft for us and the bikes and float all the way down to the Santa Fe. We camped at that location a few times. There were very few houses in the neighborhood back then. It’s been over 22 years since I’ve been out there, hopefully it hasn’t changed much.

Also Kev, when using the ferro rod. Keep the striker still and do all the movement with the rod

I had a nice week tent camping the week of 11 - 19. Fri had that storm come in and wasn't staked down. Had to literally hold down the fort until the wind slowed so I could stake and tie out. Frost on the truck for 2 nites after in Englewood. I visited most of the beaches in the area and visited my sick aunt in Sarasota. Awesome weather on the way down from PA and most of the way back. Lost the weather in Gettysburg where it turned cold and gloomy. Oh well had my FL fix!
