In this video we go over the newest version of the Wade 808 3 Ultra - did Way of Wade do a good job with the V2?
Cushion is still a drop-in midsole with full-length BOOM, one of the best things about the setup. Traction is elite, regardless of the court condition you should be able to get to a hard stop with ease. I would strongly recommend going half size up for the best fit, and most importantly the biggest improvement is on the upper material. You will no longer get a plasticky folding that might cause some pinching, and the high top sock collar is very stretchy and supportive.

If you have narrow feet you can get away with going down the half size. I’m normally an 11.5 but I was given a size 11 pair and it was okay lengthwise.

Just got mines Im a wide footer and normally wear 10-10.5 on regular shoes. For example on Lebrons Im an 11, so went with 11 and they are huge!!! Go true to size.

Awesome insights as always! I agree that the traction is amazing on these 808 ultra 3s. I have the low cut version "Dreamer" with solid rubber and use them for hooping and badminton - it sticks really well even in dusty courts. Havent felt the pinching at the moment. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Liren 4 low when it comes out!

@TommyLiu4 - Can you do a comparison review of the 808 2 Ultra V2 & 808 3 Ultra V2? I would like to get your opinion on the two as I currently own the 808 2 Ultra V2 (Bruce Lee) and interested to see if I should "upgrade" to the 808 3 UV2. Based on the looks of the shoe, the toe box looks less narrow vs previous version, the ankle booty or sleeve looks way more comfortable than the previous as I could feel the low portion rub against my Achilles. Look forward to seeing a review IF you choose to make one.

Incredible video. Does the drop in midsole mean that when the foam dies, you can buy another midsole to replace it? How does it compare to the wow10?

🙏 They don’t sell drop-in midsoles, so not sure if that’s an option cause either way you’d be buying another pair of shoes whichever shoe it is. WOW 10 is probably their best shoe ever.

My only problem with WOW shoes is that I want to try sizes to make sure they will fit well before ordering online. I know my current KD trey5 IX are 10.5US. But unsure how true to size those are either to know if I’d also be good with a 10.5 in the 808V2 or not

Looking to purchase a new shoe soon, I’ve been training for my vertical and have noticed that of the 3 shoes I play in. now, I can only grab rim in one pair. How do these compare to the WOW 10s when it comes to jumping? I know I’m not going to be adding inches to my jump by getting a new shoe but I now realize how important a shoe’s design is for getting the most energy return in my jumping…

Hey tommy, great review as usual. The online lining store in our country had these on sale for only 110 USD. I'm wondering about the fit because I hade the son of flash at US 12 and they fit snug in the forefoot/toebox, would you say that the 808 3 Ultra V2 would be a more comfortable fit than the son of flash at the same us sizing (12)? planning to cop these if they are more comfortable than the son of flash.

Almost, but not as wide as the regular. Still feels a little bit more spacious than the 808 3 Ultra though 😃

I own the 808 3 ultra V2 (that's mouthful) and no it's not really accommodating for wide footers. That's why Tommy is right always go half size up from your TTS, even more if you have very wide feet. Sometime its so bad (in case of wow 10 low) that I have to remove the insoles completely to have some spaces for my feet and switch out with different insoles (I made a mistake of go TTS but not really, I usually go with 10US 43EU but since WOW recommend fit is 10 US/ 43 1/2 EU, I went with the 10US thinking half size EU up is enough, when I receive the shoes, it's actually say on the tag it is 10US / 43 2/3 EU but that's still not enough, switching insoles helped in this case because WOW 10 don't have drop in midsole and their standard insoles is as thick/hard as a piece of cardboard but that won't be the same with the drop in midsole set up like the 808 line up). Hope that helps.

That’s why I’m excited with the 808 3 ultra v2, because of it’s new material. Hoping it will fit like the regular version, but I guess not 😞 Thanks for your input!

Hey. They’re okay - putting the full-length BOOM as a drop-in midsole does reduce the impact protection by a little bit compared to like the All City’s for example, but still decent.

Hey tommy, i really want to buy the wade 808 3 ultra v2 but cannot try them on in store. I would love to hear your thoughts on that especially from people who tried them on. Also i heard that they fit longer than normal wow shoes, is that true? Because i tried on wow 10 one time and had to half size up and it ran a lil but long but still manageable. Wade 808 3 regular was perfect fit TTS. Some information about my sizing i consider myself a 2E width (usually a US 12 / EU 46): Lebron 21: US 12 (fit very snug in the toebox, but somehow manageable, could have gone half size up) Lebron NXXT Gen: same as Lebron 21 for me Way of wade 10: had to go to 12.5 with a thumb width space in toebox Dame 8: half size down to 11.5 (perfect fit) Fresh foam BB v2: not wearable cause toebox too tight Wade 808 3 regular: US 12 (perfect fit)

I’m an 11.5 and I got both the 12s and 11s. The 12s had too much space in the toe so I went down to the 11s and used a $10 shoe stretcher for a day on them and only stretched them a tiny bit. They fit amazing. I would just try the 12 because I bet the 13 would be huge. Hope that helps.

^I agree with this, especially since the toe box fit is slightly roomier than the low top Ultra. So I’d say go with your normal size for the V2, the original 808 3 Ultra you can perhaps try a full size up but probably not the V2.

@@RovADR Idk what size you went with - true to size or half size up? I’d recommend half size up for most people, you wouldn’t wanna risk it being too small or snug since there’s no fix for that.
