I did the same thing to my A4 how long does it take after adding the Freon I bought the same one . My next option is either the AC switch or Air compressor .
More compressors are shot by these kits by not knowing if there is an obstruction causing a low suction pressure. If you know for a fact it has leaked down and fixed the leak it is possible to not damage it. There just is not enough information to know that damage wont be done. Im all for fixing it yourself and saving money, but be sure about it. That $30-$40 could end up costing several hundred to a couple grand to repair the damage that could be done. Also the dye is not a good solutio mm as it isnt good on the bearings internally of compressors. There is a reason Trane refused warranty work if they found it in returned warranty compressors.

You have to use the same refrigerant that is listed under the hood on a sticker or else it could mess up system. There is a sticker underneath your hood near the AC port. Also, did you run the AC on Max first for about 5 min to get an accurate reading ?
You CANNOT properly refill / top up car AC systems by just measuring the LO side. You MUST read the HI side as well. VAG AC is weird too with variable displacement compressors. The author probably overfilled the AC system and will be regretting it in the future.

this person knows nothing about CARS ..... sorry to say.... look at his coolant reservoir, the color should be orange and it should have a level between low and high but his is WAY under!!!
