These are really good tips and I've used them all and they really do make a huge difference. I cried when I rearranged my living room because I actually had all the right pieces, they were just in the wrong places and once I got it right, it was beautiful.

I put some paintings that I did (a set of two sunflower paintings) on the wall behind the television. One hides the cord, which leads to a spot on the wall) and the other is about a foot higher and 2 feet over, so instead of seeing a cord, people see two stair stepped similar but slightly different paintings.
Love the tips as always! Totally agree on decluttering and cleaning your house. Makes such a big difference. I hate going to someone's house and the baseboards in their powder bathroom are covered in dust. Makes me wonder if they ever clean the bathroom. I also live in Vegas and hear you about this heat. Bring on fall!
Great video! I especially like the idea of rotating the family photos. I like to have only a few on display, but with rotation, I could use more of them.
Novel ideas. I will need to swap an art piece from the living room into my bedroom, as soon as I find a replacement to be found at our next art festival.
With regards to touch up painting. I have been waiting for a year now for my husband to touch up the painting on our walls. I am a person who wants things done immediately unfortunately my husband is someone (Procrastinator King) wants things done in the future! Also, when I tell him I will do it, he says he will do it! When? Who knows? But there are a number of things I want done now, but we can’t afford it. Reorganising furniture is a great way to refresh a look, without spending more $$. I understand that if your home is up for sale you shouldn’t have it filled with family photos. But if it isn’t up for sale, yes, you should have Family Photos displayed. I do this, even in the bedroom. It is lovely to wake up, seeing family members and know that you are loved by family and vice a versa. We live hours away from family members so this means the world to me. Lastly, the best way to make you feel happy, is to have a clean and bright home. I'm married to Mr Procrastinator too! What I do, is start talking about getting in a tradesperson to do the needed job, he says no, he can do it. I say "honey, you've got so much on your plate, let's just get someone in". The majority of the time it sparks him into action, if nothing happens for a month, I get quotes, show them to him and ask for his opinion. Job gets started the next weekend. Have never had to get the tradie in.😂
Hello 👋 I went to a consignment shop this weekend and purchased these drapes the fabric and print is beautiful but I want to use the fabric to make some pillows and reupholster a chair. Great video as always 😊
Arden is adorable, Cavs are the most beautiful dogs ever, I always had Labradors and Pomeranians, but Cavs have stolen my heart. I miss my little poppet every day.
Your "tough love" got me, just cleaned the thresh hold at the back door and going to put a fresh coat of paint on it when it dries. I've been glaring at that dingy thresh hold for months and thought about it just yesterday. Today is the day. Maybe I'll clean the corners tomorrow, haha.
I have been living in furnished condos and ABBs for years since I've been out the country. I try to add my own touches but I can't wait to go home and really decorate a space again.

I missed this video until now somehow. I loved the suggestions. I can attest to the clean/touch upped walls. I have small children and it’s a struggle to keep walls clean but nothing brightens up the room like a freshly scrubbed wall.
I love moving decorations around to make it feel new! What do you think about putting couches in a corner of a living room? I feel like its just a waste of space, but let me know if Im wrong and Ill try it!❤

Exactly right. We looked at EXPENSIVE properties to purchase.. I don’t know what people are thinking even the most expensive had scuffed scratches, scuffs from dogs,bad pulls in looped carpets that looked like the cats, back pack scuffs along the walls , people need to have an OBJECTIVE EYE 👁️ and clean up their homes and have some pride 🏡🔨🪞🖼️🪴forget empty cabinets throw things out and declutter!

It depends on the space, the decor and the design plan. Every situation is different. I’m more than happy to do a virtual consultation with you and see the space in question and give my opinions on drapery for it or answer any other decorating questions.
It’s not a yay or nay answer usually in interior design. Every situation is different. In some situations I might like using them and in others I might not. I would have to see the space where you want to use them to give an opinion.
Depends on which interior designer you talk to, or which, if any, design commentators you watch. Personally, I don’t care for puddled drapes whether they are in or out. In this field, design trends come in and out of favor. That’s why on this channel, we focus on how to create and identify great design that makes you happy vs chasing trends.
