Hello guys, on youtube there are many beautiful creations of neopixel leds matrix, generally 16x16 or at most 32x32.
In this video I wanted to make something bigger, huge and I decided to buy 9 neopixel 16x16 matrices for a total of 2304 neopixel led all controlled by a ESP32-WRROM-32 microcontroller.

How is the frame rate on soap pattern (check FPS on info tab) as I have made the same and only getting 11 FPS

Hi, let's start by saying that these neopixel matrices cannot have a high frame rate like RGB matrices controlled by specific electronics. the speed also depends on the microcontroller you use. However, I think that this type of sequential neopixel matrices can be used as special graphic effects rather than for animations with a high frame rate, especially when the quantity of LEDs is so high.

I did the same set up as you, but when I turned on my lights I get a lot of flickering, any idea how I can resolve this!

Hello Barry, I can suggest you to check the wires diameter because I had a lot of problems with small diameters wires. Be sure to use a power supply with enough current

And make sure to use a common ground if you’re using more than one power supply.

Hi - Good job. I am new with my 2 pcs esp32 and 2 pcs 8+32 ws2812e led panel. Learned a lot from your posts on youtube. Thank you. I have 2 questions. 1. How do you save the settings so that it starts where I left off. ? (turns off) 2. I can get the date and time as scrolling text. (Automatic). But how do I get my own text (eg happy birthday) on the panel. Many thanks for the help.

Hello and thanks for your comment. Point 1 every change you make in the playlist is saved in static memory on esp32 and you will find everything when you come back later. About point 2, right now is not possibile but I see that many other user ask for that and there is a beta 2 that include this feature, so just wait next update. Hello. I tried to replicate it. Unfortunately, the ESP does not get any power, although I connected it to the power supply. If I connect the ESP to the laptop with a USB cable, then it works. I have set all the settings as in the video. Unfortunately something doesn't work properly. 1. Akemi doesn't look like the video at all. The LEDs don't match at all to make a picture. 2. You can see something in the Octopus program, but very bright LEDs keep flashing in between. Anyone have an idea what I did wrong?

Hello, about 5v power on ESP32, sometimes it need a capacitor 10uF between EN pin and GND. Try this and Im pretty sure the problem disappear. About point 1 and 2, I think it is a configuration problem… try to select the effect TEXT SCROLL and see if the text on the matrix appear correct otherwise a configuration problem it will be confirmed… Let me know…😀👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

What power comsumption?

Hello, it depends on brightness regulation… at the minimum brightness you can have a really nice intensity and current drain could be 10 to 30 amp… the best is use three separate power supply, one for each row
