here's a quick and easy homemade cheese recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup of fresh milk
1 tablespoon of citric acid or white vinegar
Salt to taste
Instructions:
1.Heat the milk in a saucepan for 10-20 minutes. You can use medium heat.
2.Add the citric acid or white vinegar to the milk and stir. This will increase the acidity of the milk, which is necessary for protein coagulation.
3.Reduce the heat and continue to heat the milk for another 2 minutes until it steams but doesn't boil.
4.Remove the milk from heat and let it cool completely to room temperature. This will allow the cheese to form properly.
5.Using a clean cheesecloth or kitchen towel, separate the curds from the whey.
6.Add salt to taste to the cheese and shape it as desired.
7.And there you have it, your homemade cheese is ready! This cheese can be stored in the refrigerator for several days. Enjoy!
