I just use boiling hot water instead of microwaving it. The hot water melts them in less than a minute. I shake it up well and let it cool!! Thanks for sharing your way of doing this.
Camille I saw your lovely picture in another Homemade Fabreeze Recipe also. In that recipe the women added 1/2 tsp of Baking Soda; I'm wondering if you made that one and found any difference between that one and this one?
Another great DIY.... Add some Unstoppable beads (as much or as little as you want) in water and put in a simmering pot or Crockette. The smell is FANTASTIC and permeates throughout your home!
I tried this and i didn't use as much the beads as this video & my bottle was around a liter size and lordy it is still strong. So my advice is use a lot less of the little beads. :)
If you sprinkle a few of the unstoppables into the melted wax in a wax melter it refreshes the aroma of the wax. You only need a very small amount though, and it does seem to diffuse through the wax.
There is an easier way. Pour a few ounces of the unstoppables into a spray bottle n heat about 26 oz n pour into same spray bottle n shake until all is dissolved n there ya go go! You can spray furniture, carpets, etc
You can buy the same unstoppable pebbles but with a different brand name and has the Same amazing smell but costs you a dollar a lot less than that downy brand they have them under a generic brand name and with the same effect, cha ching 💰💰 save some money and buy at the 99 cents
I wonder if you could put these in warm water and then put into one of those mini crock pots? I use to put those bath & body tart candles in the mini crocks. Makes the house smell great. Unplug, put the lid back on and should get many uses out of it. If anyone has tried the mini crock pots with the unstoppables, please report how it works out. Thanks for the info to make the air freshener too.
Are harmful chemicals released when you mix fabric softener with water and spray your furniture with it . Asking because as you spray it's in the air and you breath it in.
Lisa P that's a great idea ! It baking soda helps with odors too! But keep in mind when spraying anything on dark fabrics or hard to wash items, that baking soda could leave a film because it's white and originally powder based.
Lisa P Don't put in 4 tablespoons of baking soda it will leave white residue on your cloth items. I put in 1 teaspoon of baking soda with this mixture, and it works perfectly.
