@@BobChippewa I know what you are saying, and you are right, the only reason I say Mama Cass is I hope people will recall her name in recognition of her unbelievable talent, my name is Keith and I am a 74 year old Scot and I have loved Cass all my life, and on the 24th July 2024 it will be the 50th anniversary of her death, a beautiful lady who was taken from us way before her time, thanks for the memories Cass, always in my heart 😢💔🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Exactly my sentiments. I am a 74year old Scot and I have loved Mama Cass all my life because the first time I heard her singing I knew that she was a very, very special lady with a unique voice and I still listen to her music every single day of my life and I'm not ashamed to say that I am often reduced to tears because on the 29th July 1974 Cass was taken from this World way before her time and I still miss her and think about her every day - Sad, but true 😢💔🙏

I'd love to know who those wonderful singers are. So much talent there, singers, playing instruments and being deployable. Simply wow. What they go through to reach this stage is incredible from the initial audition to basic training for Marines and Music School.

Band Lance-Corporal Kirsty Haines (Band of HM Royal Marines Commando Training Centre) Band Lance-Corporal Hannah Smither (Band of HM Royal Marines Plymouth) Band Corporal Samantha McIndoe (Band of HM Royal Marines Portsmouth) Conductor is Lieutenant-Colonel Jase Burcham (Principal Director of Music Royal Marines) The Massed Band this year is composed mainly of Bands of HM Royal Marines Plymouth, Scotland & Collingwood with some elements from Bands of HM Royal Marines Portsmouth, Commando Training Centre & Royal Marines School of Music too.

@@Autofleet4429 many thanks for sharing that info. From what I read are some mentioned training to be marine commandos and school of music secondary to that aim? This band and the arrangements are really outstanding - everyone just having fun in a professional role ❤️

@@Ronald7077 No, Musician aren't Commandos (unless they have come from the regular/reserve Commando units and transferred to the bands) nor undergo the Commando course they still go through basic training similar to that in level of the Army and they remain in the band service throughout their careers however they are operational personnel that specialise in medical/communication fields and some in CBRN decontamination and will deploy to that affect (note the Corporal has the Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan)
