A college engineering course would ruin what guys like this have, which is the ACTUAL engineering drive. “Professional” engineering, as takes place in the big corporations, is CRAP compared to this type of ‘get it done’ engineering. I say that having worked for Bose for 18 years with some of the best engineers that the top schools produce. They are extremely book smart, but very few of them would be able to do what this kid has done, with chickens running around, taking microwaves apart etc. Keep at it kid. You’re going places. Trust me when I tell you that the ‘requirement’ to go to college is completely fake. I’m a high school dropout and I’ve worked for Motorola, Siemens, Bose and plenty of smaller, less we;l known companies. If you can do this, they will pay you and they will train you. God bless!
Fantastic build! The only thing I would change if I were building it myself would be to install some sort of protective cover over the motor because I know I would step on it.
As DIY goes, this is above the bar. Nice concealment and flexed battery style to make it flatter. Some time building batteries and it shows. Talented work.

Nice build! The only thing that I would add is a way to protect the battery compartment from moisture. Probably with a couple of weatherproof gaskets, silicone caulk or some combination of both. Otherwise, not bad for basic, quick transportation.

If you pour silicon on top of the batteries so that the batteries do not move while driving, they will never be damaged. I have not tried but I think it might be a good solution. You see, the problem is that while driving, the batteries shake and fall apart, and this is the reason why the charge runs out after a while.

That's an amazing build! I would've left the multi-speed gears intact though. It's not hard to keep a derailleur setup & you would get more Torque for going up hills & your top speed would be far greater. Not that 62kph is slow, that's awesome for a scooter, but you could add on a removable seat & foot plate riser & make better use of the motors power through the use of a 5 or 7 speed setup. You could also use Mountain Bike front & rear brakes & a Quadbike style thumb actuated throttle for ease of use & over all reliability. A little bit larger wheels and tires would help with uneven terrain stability & application of power as well. I'm not harshing on your build btw. I love it! Just suggesting some upgrades that would help out. A double stack of batteries & watertight compartment for the batteries would be better as well. It would obviously double your range & make it safe to use in the rain. Ohhhh a lexan/acrylic pod for the scooter would look so cool! And yes I understand that this video's purpose is to show how anyone (with a welder, grinder, rivet gun, and welding magnet/stay) can build one of these. I fully respect & appreciate that! Just wanna see you take it further now, after showing everyone the base model & how awesome it is. You could even run Gokart wheels & tires & make it a little offroad capable mini-monster. Thank you for showing us all your amazing build! I love it, and will be making a gas (probably a 4 stroke) powered mini-bmx bike (a normal bmx but I'll chop it down & stretch it a little) that will fit in my car's trunk. By the way, do you ever see a 2002-2005 Hyundai Grandeur in your area? I've heard that people in the Phillipines still make body kits & performance parts for them & for JDM cars. I would love to link up with you on parts & talk about stuff, if you feel like it that is. Again, thank you for the great video!!! You've motivated me to start my build. That's totally insane! 62 kph for a tiny motor. My only concern is your braking system,much better if you have another set of disc brake for your back wheel but nevertheless it's a great scooter.
bravo! nice work. but.... to increase the battery, i would recommend to remove the "break" adjustment from settings, and install a cheap hydraulic Brake system for bikes.

Incredible job. It seems that you have access to many bicycle parts in your country. Using the same principle a sit on quad bike on 3 wheeler could be build. Would love one but not sure if I will be able to source the parts in South Africa. Well done on the video as well.
Greeting Engineer we are interested on your channel and works and thought you might have an idea to help us on our project. our project is about design a treadmill bicycle where it can be used to exercise and transport at the same time. on the product movement we will depend on: 1) First the chain drive which will connected to the treadmill roller and the rear wheels so it actually relays on the user physical efforts. 2) Second a scooter motor, so the if the user is tired or do not want to move using the treadmill. the conflict is if the scooter system is ON how to not let the chain drive move and the treadmill since they are connected to the wheels. looking forward for your help if you have the time. kind regards

Gr8 scoota, Gr8 build, but I’m guessing it would weight a tonne, surely with abit more ingenuity you could create a liter, stealthier frame. Lite weight materials, carbon fibre etc a liter scooter will improve performance, speed & distence.
