Awesome list! I’ve found that it’s all about reducing friction when working - all of these items seem to do that! 🤘🤘🤘

Why donˋt you record your Guitars direct into PT and revamp the signal ? You could Melody the guitar before revamping, which would be much more precise to get the takes right especially intonationwise ?

HDDs failing simultaneously is actually pretty common, especially if you purchased the drives from the same supplier. Check the serial numbers to see if they're from the same batch. Always a decent idea to purchase from different suppliers to avoid sequential failures.

I haven’t heard that before. Thank you for sharing that. I’ve been fortunate and only had maybe one hard drive die over a 20 year career. Fingers crossed.

this is great stuff Beau. Kinda unrelated but do you have any more Saosin playthrough videos in the works or are those videos kind of over?

@@Beau.Burchell awesome that's great to hear. I love trying to learn your songs and I have the sheet happens book but I learn faster from visual references than I do the book. I'm looking forward to Come Close and Bury Your Head. Thanks for being bad ass.

@@fazzi4924 I really want to see a cover of Come Close as well! Learning that one right now

@@afterthought55 Come Close in sheet happens I'm convinced is not correct other than the main verse line and it's so annoying because I love the song so much. If you search youtube for covers of that song there's a ~5 year old upload from some guy in a grey hoodie. you can't see his face but he's playing a black Les Paul style guitar and it's really easy to see his fingers and the fret board. I think his cover is more accurate than sheet happens so I used his video to learn it
@afterthought55
@afterthought55 Год назад
@@fazzi4924 Yeah that cover is great. Even though it's different on sheet happens I'm sure the notes are still correct. We need Beau to upload the cover to see how he plays it.

Hi, Can we tune our guitar while every tuning string gauge tension gauge calculator not reccomment with my string gauges if we don’t care tuning stability for few songs? Does evertune bridge allowing us to tune if calculator not recomment? If we can will cause any damage or problems?
@Beau.Burchell
@Beau.Burchell Год назад
Hi sorry if I don’t understand you correctly, yes I tune a guitar to CGCFAC zone 2. But can tune it up to DGCFAD or CGCFAsharpC and it works fine. Except those strings will not be compensated and act like regular strings

Is that the famous modded rectifier from translating the name in the background? Out of curiosity, did you primarily use the H&K’s on the self titled?
@Beau.Burchell

Yes, mainly HNK on self titled. I have the actual amp here in the studio. :)

Have you noticed much of a difference in the DI quality from the GB Tracker compared to the MW1? Like a noticeable difference when reamping either with amp sims or real amps?
@Beau.Burchell
@Beau.Burchell Год назад
Yes. But honestly it depends how hard you are listening. A big difference to me might be a small difference to someone else. The GB tracker is transparent which is exactly what I want. Zero color.
@jdwdrums
@jdwdrums Год назад
@@Beau.Burchell Awesome. Good to know. Thank you! They're a similar price point, so I've been trying to decide which one to go with. It's interesting to see a few big producers (you and Jason Suecof) actually get rid of the MW1 for the GB Tracker.

Why donˋ t you use ADPTR AUDIO Metric AB ?

From what I understand, it does not sync exactly with the time code in the session.

@@mxvidstosee I always have a print of my previous mix for when I am doing mix revisions. I can always quickly AB the exact section I’m working on to make sure the revisions are audible and making a positive impact. I don’t really listen to other reference mixes.
