I used your method on a really rough voice sample that I had, and admittedly it still doesn't sound great, but the speech is sooo much more intelligible, it's incredible how well this method worked! Great tutorial!!
HOLY CRAP! When I say this is the most useful final cut pro sound editing video/tutorial I've ever watched I mean it 100000%! you just saved my audio man, thank you so much! I was watching all sorts of videos but none of them helped I'm so glad I found your page, just subscribed!
Every time I come across a YT video that adds this level of value and does it quickly. I always feel compelled to start a wave like they do in sports events to show my appreciation for your help. Thanks, man! 🙌🏻🌊🙌🏻
came here from your lighting tutorial today.... damn dude some of the best tutorials ever. my lighting and sound so bad... this will help.. thx again subbed and notifications on!
After all of my search on how to enhance my voice when I record myself, this is by FAR the best sound I've got out of my setup!! thank you so much for this very helpful video. Really, really appreciate it 🙏🏻
Finally came back and used this to create my own preset - it sounds 100x better! This information is so much more valuable than going out and buying "better" gear. Thanks again!
So I just used all your tips. YOU SAVED MY WORK. self declared your biggest fan. Thank you thank you thank you. My audio on my first upload was unusable. I followed your tutorial and I was happy enough to post it, in fact I just uploaded! Exciting! Next I need to get a mic!
Ben, this is a fantastic video. I was amazed at how your suggestions had immediate and positive results on my own audio. I was wondering if you'd consider doing a similar video that shows how to remove/reduce wind noise from a clip?
That would be awesome! I like these tips but am finding it hard to reduce wind noise and other background noise from some audio clips (like when I'm at a noisy cafe or walking outside with cars driving by).
Amazing, so much info packed into this one! It's definitely worth taking the time to get those presets really dialed in for each of our locations and microphone setups. Thank you so much
Hi Ben, can you please explain why you use an adaptive limiter and not just a regular limiter? Also, what does the out ceiling knob on the adaptive limiter do exactly?
So i'm filming multicam video podcast with the Sm7b and the zoom f8... 1. Is there an effect on FCP X for setting the output gain to the level that the podcasting distributors prefer to like radio standards, LUFS or something? Is this needed or is it just okay to set it to -3dB like you did in your video? 2. Is exporting as a WAV on fcp sufficient for the podcast platfroms as an audio file compared to for example editing it in adobe audition and exporting like that - only issue being it won't have the cuts/edits in it 3. For a 2 mic podcast, so 2 zoom files synced, how would you edit them in a multicam? One person is speaking way more than the other...just wondering if you'd keep them both on with both all the effects from your video or bring them together into one track?
Thank you Ben, you made my day with this video🎉! Now my sound is way better. 🙏 I am so grateful for your work and keep recommending you big time. Take care
Thank you so much Ben!! you are an angel!! I don't know much about audio editing since i am starting to use final cut pro X. But you explain everything so well and it was really easy to follow your steps! thank you once again i truly appreciate! 💖
Hey Ben, thank you for your awesome tutorial. I just implemented all your tips and saved my new preset, and honestly I sound so much better in my video all thanks to you 🙌🏾
I wish I had found this video a long time ago when I switched from recording my podcast in audacity into GarageBand because I can trace a lot of the final cut flow over into garage band. Thanks Ben. I love your videos!
Awesome video dude! I'm making the switch from Premiere to Final Cut at the moment and saving preset bundles of effects is such an awesome idea that I'm for sure going to use in my next video.
Thanks Juan! I don’t plan on doing any premiere tutorials on the channel but we’ll see! In the meantime a lot of these same principles will apply just different tools
Hi Ben, thanks again. This was really informative and now I have a custom preset. I use the RODE Shotgun Mic with FiLMiC Pro (iPad Pro) and I get some really good audio, but there's always that background noise like an air conditioner. These tips are helpful. I'm sure you've used something similar to this set-up, so I'm going to dive deeper into your content for more tips.
