Hi Jackie! You may not see this but you are literally one of the very few RU-vidrs that taught me how do do my makeup. Thank you for your sacrifice and standing up for us black women , especially for dark skinned women. I asked myself why I loved Jackie and consumed her contents over the years and the simple answer is that SHE KEEPS IT REAL! I can totally relate to her unapologetic honesty and so much more. I love how a lot of your OG techniques have stuck as well as improved and changed with time. But for the most part your vibe and style is what has evolved the most. i love the subtle shifts in tone, the careful harmony of colors that compliment but arent all samey-samey...its like looking at a skillful oil painting of skin, u know where u can see all shifts in color if you look close? green pinks yellows blues. does that make sense? very artful, gives the impression of a beautiful orchid

Jackie idk if you'll see this but it's been years since I was involved in beauty youtube for a number of reasons (I'm a self employed esthetician and wax specialist, and the pandemic kind of killed my interest in doing makeup lmao) but I want to thank you for doing what you do - you have taught me a lot about color theory throughout the years and also so many other things. The Maybelline glosses stay in my bag. I use them every day! The Selena Gomez highlighters are a hard no. I'm a couple shades darker than you. They would definitely not look good on me. I haven't seen my color in Mario's foundation. I'm an in-between color, so it's a no for me too. Beautiful look, though!
