This was so cutthroat lol! The amount of times that I gasped at the "this one can go!" I know I don't need a lot of palettes but I certainly enjoy having a ton a palettes.
I have a hard time decluttering my palettes. RU-vidrs always get rid of limited edition palettes because people can't get them anymore but a lot of us buy those limited edition palettes. That's why they sell out! It would be great to see a video with all limited edition items. People can always dupe them with items in their collection. You did a great job decluttering.
I hear you babe but honestly no-one watches those type of videos lol I can almost guarantee if I uploaded a video using lets say the sold out colourpop hocus pocus palette it wouldnt do well views wise. The sad youtube reality lol xx

My heart broke when you got rid of those Juvias 6 pans the Yami, Melissa, Fumi. & Vanessa cuz I missed out on those and nobody is reselling them online under $60 each 🥲🥲🥲 so sad

I still don't understand how influencers get rid of limited edition when they reviewed it, made others love it and purchase.... Like **crickets**... What was the point?! Some people actually still have it. Some brands also bring it back. I find it ridiculous to be honest. No hate just my personal opinion.

It's sad you have to get rid of some just because it isn't relevant anymore but it does make sense since you're a RU-vid creator. Sometimes I can get jealous because I don't even own a hand full of palettes but then honestly no one needs that much cause we only have one pair of eyelids.

I think that’s so sweet for you to give back and not be selfish. I want the naughty palette and too faced teddy bear palette. I thought if it was limited edition you would want to keep. I did my declutter in July so got some months before next.
The thing is most of the time I didn't buy them so I don't have a emotional attachment to them, i can like them and enjoy using them for the time I had it but its not hard to let go. But for the palettes I did buy with my own money like the bh cosmetics candy palettes I wont let go of them because I purchased them and have a attachment to it

You did well to be so strict! Do the palettes go for resale with the funds (or things bought with the funds) then sent to Africa or is the make up sent directly? I know that both methods are used by charities and volunteers. Some of the palettes are collectable now and could bring in more than you'd expect. Whichever method is used it is far better than sending it to landfill. You're a star for thinking of others, so many people don't. 🖤
May I ask, why do you get rid of palettes that aren't sold anymore? Is it personal preference or do you not use palettes on social media unless people can still buy it?
Yeaa I dont like to use them in videos because people cant get the palettes if they want them, also new palettes get released all the time, I would rather use something in my videos that can still be bought so people aren't disappointed x

You can tell this was cutthroat when She got rid of Carmi's palette. The Make Magic palette was so good, but so underrated and didn't get talked much about.
