This is exactly what we all needed today. I woke up over an hour ago (it’s nearly 5am now in NY) and couldn’t go back to sleep; thinking about all the tragedy going on in our world. Seeing you apply your makeup & talking us through every step, is so relaxing & satisfying. Thank you for bringing some joy & levity into our homes & for always being a positive presence on this platform! All of my love & thanks! 💜
Hello Joey it’s comments like yours that make me continue filming. When I sit in front of the camera it seems so irrelevant but now I know my chit chat makes a difference I will keep going… what do you fancy for next week?
Gorgeous between you and Lisa Eldridge I feel i have learned so much about make up application and also how to be kind to yourself and celebrate what you actually look like. Thank you 🙏🏼
Prayers and so much love for Ukraine and surrounding lands. God bless you all and thank you for this beautiful distraction. 🙏❤️🙏 I work in Geriatric Health care for the last 10 years and I have a group of ladies that absolutely love to watch make up tutorials and you are by far one of our favorites! We are watching via our big screen in the dining room. Sending lots of ❤️
Thank you!! We all need joy and cheerfulness. We put our beloved dog, Grady, to rest on Tuesday, March 1st. He was 14. It was excruciating. 💔🐾 So ~ this is about so much more than just makeup 🤍 Happy spring 🌷🦋🐝☘️☀️☀️☀️ day to you! Holding the world before the Lord 🙏🏻
This was definitely a much needed video for me today. I think over the last few weeks I’ve all of a sudden recognised how difficult these last few years have been and now with everything else going on I’ve hit a bit of a low point. I’m not one for being down or glum so it’s a bit unusual to feel like this. Your video has certainly perked me up so I’m now going to get ready, put a face on and find the positive today! Thanks so much Caroline.x
Another fabulous video - thank you, Caroline. One of my favorite Saturday morning (early afternoon!) treats is sitting down to watch your latest video with a coffee. Love the look, classy but not overly made up; really like the eye colours.. Need a little cheering up, with all that's going on.. xx (-:
I got into make up in my early 40s (I'm 48) and since then I've definitely been doing this for years, I discovered that make-up had quite therapeutic virtues on me, I'm highly sensitive and the textures, the smell, the colours can lift me up very easily, I have my little corner in my office where I do my make-up, comfortably and stuff, and it's a great soothing moment of escape
I have Rheumatoid disease & no matter how awful & stiff I feel when I get out the shower, I sit & do my skincare & make up. It makes me feel pulled together & looking good even if I don't feel it. Great videos, ty Caroline.
In a world gone mad, it’s so lovely to join you in some normality with lovely girlie makeup. No surprise to me you don’t get any 👎 Caroline. You have a lovely channel, great content and just a joy to watch and listen to. We need more people in the world like you, so thank you 😘
Hi Caroline, I think that makeup look is very youthful. I have used those colour's for most of the week, and I was told by my son, and others that I looked young. Doesn't it make you feel good, when you get a compliment? Look forward to your video on a Saturday, the product's are so,lovely!! and of course the creator is fab.xx
Hey Caroline, thank you for another cheerful and uplifting video. I always watch you when I come home from work, with a glass of red. I remembered recently that I used to sit next to my mum as young boy at her dressing table on a Saturday morning as she put her make up on, with her cup of black coffee and cigarette burning in the ashtray. She looked liked Elizabeth Taylor win her arched eyebrows and winged eyeliner. Thank you Caroline for bringing back memories 😌
You’ve got it! I said to a friend today, go and buy Ton Ford Spanish Pink lipstick and you will feel you can take on the world! 😊 Makeup can change our perspective- it’s so important to at least try and buoy our emotions at the moment. Thank you, that was fun- just what we needed! 😍❤️
Thank you, Caroline. You have inspired me to wear a little more make up than I normally would on a home-alone Saturday morning, and I look and feel much better for it!
Caroline you always help bring some joy back to my day, regardless of how awful things are in the world, or if I’m just having a hard personal day. Thank YOU! I think the beauty of what you illustrate is that self care is so important, ESPECIALLY in the hard times when it may seem insignificant. And makeup is just that - some self care. Time to pamper ourselves and boost our confidence. Thank you for the perfectly lovely video and as always, and the new tips and tools to carry around. Xoxo
I think everyone is feeling discombobulated at the moment. What an unsettling time we are living in. It's been one thing after the other. I keep expecting to see four men on horseback coming down the street lol. Nothing like a bit of Caroline and some makeup to take our minds of everything. You look gorgeous. Emma x
Couldn't have put it better myself Caroline. My get up and go has got up and gone as well, so as you say, we're lucky we can play like this to cheer ourselves up.
You make the simplest of applications look so classy and sophisticated. This is my level of make-up Caroline. Sending much love from Perth West Australia 🇦🇺 💙 💛
Today was the first time in several grumpy weeks that I've sat down with a coffee & enjoyed a few videos. You're always a favorite. I too just purchased a couple face products to lift my face & hopefully my mood. You're just what the doctor ordered today. 😉😊
Adore this look. Just what I needed today after cleaning and organizing my majeup space. I rediscovered goodies I hadn’t seen for ages. I am going to give this look a go for work tomorrow. Take care xxx
Definitely no woohoo’s in the world at the moment, it’s a horrible time but made all the better by your videos Caroline. It’s something to look forward to and take our minds off of things just for a short while. 💖💖💖
Definitely needed today❤️! I've been heartbroken about the recent world events, but I have a birthday party to go to tonight, so I want to feel happy and pretty when I go there.
Ahhh this was just what the doctor ordered, amongst the all the horror in the world right now you are a little ray of light bringing joy through make up........loved this look, .definitely going to try this eye look. Thank you xxxx
Another lovely look. I bought the box and it shipped quickly and I like the variety in it. I appreciated your grey eye video as I probably would have shied away from it for fear of the colour looking dreary - but the pink blush lifts it. My only complaint is the eyeshadow faded dramatically after an hour and I had to pack more on at regular intervals all day. I don’t have oily eyelids and I put it on over a Chanel crayon. I shall try it over a Bobbi Brown crayon next and hopefully that will increase the longevity.
Makeup is the ultimate therapy!!! I love this palette and the box is wonderful - such a bargain. Haven’t used fake tan in ages because it seemed like such a faff but the James Read is so easy. Congratulations again, Caroline, looking at to seeing what you come up with next!!! Lots of love to you and everyone ❤️❤️xxx
Oh my goodness Caroline, how did I miss this video when you released it!? 🙄🤦🏻♀️ Love the look! What are the boxes you were talking about please? Hope you're enjoying your summer break xx
Dear Caroline! So good to have you at our side 🙏thanks for your tips and kind words in these difficult times in our world ☀️ best wishes from Hannover 🦋
You are a true artist! When I look at the eyeshadow palette allI see is individual colors then you take those colors and transform them into beautiful combinations! Thanks for giving us techniques on how to use those colors and blend them to enhance our features! Thanks :)
What perfect timing of your video. Aside from what is happening in Ukraine, I’ve had a rough week on a personal level. My mood has been numb. While I don’t think I’d put black on my eyes, I feel makeup does help my mood somewhat, although I am on the hunt for a new liner pencil and corrector. Hopefully, things will get better soon. Thank you.
Thank you for your videos. Just what we need to uplift our moods with what's happening in the world today. Headed to my room to put on my face as my husband calls my makeup.
I appreciate you acknowledging what’s happening around us. 🇺🇦🙏🏼 💔 I need a distraction about now and getting on my “makeup mojo” is very much needed! Thanks for the inspiration.xo
Oh i love this look!!! Im going to try whacking this on in the morning!! I love eye looks that look like they took ages to achieve but only literally use one colour! Ive definitely been feeling rather blah of recent so it really must be a global thing. Not to worry, throw on a lovely bit of makeup and a cheerful lipstick and suddenly everything feels that wee bit better. Take good care everyone! See you next week xx
Thanks Caroline for being real with us. It’s true that when the world seems out of control, creating something beautiful, taking the time for some self care, makes me feel able to front up and have something to give. Btw I bought the Chantecaille lipstick in Foxglove from your last video and I love it 🥰 All the best and take care xox
This video was really good. These are difficult times and you acknowledged that and gave us ideas of how to feel better. can't ask for more than that. thank you
Thank you so much for this video, Caroline. Haven’t had a chance to watch it until today but it was just what I needed. A real pick me up. Looking forward to doing my make up tomorrow in a similar way xx
Here’s a challenge. 😋 is there such a thing as a no makeup eye. Maybe someone (asking for a friend) has hooded eyes but doesn’t want to look like they have eye makeup on…. 😝 (Dean)
I think you are quite wonderful to listen and learn. I understand the heaviness going on in this world. I can feel it. You faced the day as you and everyone should. The only way I have found to focus truly focus is Jesus Christ. Because when I did not know him the "heaviness " was far too much for me. Worldly wise I am a woman, almost 50 even before I was married and working my late father's farm rarely ever going to town or around any human beings. Well. A difficult mother but that does not count to me as being around people in general. I still blew out my hair, did my makeup and handled the farm and the mother's house fully made up while wearing old Bibbers and chore clothes. Making myself made up even when dragging, tired and blah just gave me a quick lift! Thank you for your help on makeup. Especially the eyes! Hate the tired eyes and your techniques are extremely helpful. I have some similarities in the eye department and so happy I found you. A Professional that teaches in a way I can follow. That's a talent and sharing it. I sincerely appreciate you doing this. Thank You Thank you from a little farm in the USA
Oh really like this look, and something I think I could achieve (possibly......maybe 🙄😂). Perfect pick me up, thank you. Thoughts and hopes for Ukraine 🇺🇦 xx
Love your technique. Right up the alley of how we do ours here. Atleast I do anyhow. We are a bit more natural makeup wearing. New subscriber here from the Southern States. Beautiful skin and little makeup to adhance.advance. BTW, you look like Rachel McAdams in The Notebook.
Would you do a glitter eye and how you would choose the blush and lip color? I love wearing a big glittery eye even at home. Makeup has helped me face the day for most of my life!❤
As ever Caroline, you're a tonic! I'm sure we're all feeling that same sinking feeling at the moment. Makeup can be a powerful tool to help in steadying ourselves amongst the uncertainty around us.Thanks for the video x :)
