I feel like this all the time with the makeup community on TikTok they constantly hype products up with so much beauty lighting, filters & unrealistic show offs and it makes me feel like RU-vid makeup community 2014-18 all over again

I'm honestly like this with the tarte shape-tape concealer I liked it but once I tried the Elf camo concealer I feel in love, plus the price is cheaper than shaped-taped, which is nice

Mine either. Part of it is the price point. I don't know how good their eyeliners are but I do know Essence makes some really good ones. Only negative is the color selection but I'm hoping they'll bring more shades out since they seem to always be out of stock at my local CVS's. Pixie's price point is just too high for drugstore. I also don't hear much praise for their products... 🤷♀️
I agree with you about the CT Hollywood Flawless Filter. The ELF dupe completely overshadowed it for me. Though I like both formulas, the price difference sealed it for me.
I find pretty much every mascara flakes on me. I found that putting on mascara, letting it dry and then topping it off with a waterproof mascara stops the flaking. I am yet to find a normal mascara that doesn’t flake on me. 💜
Have you tried the new Tower 28 mascara? I always have flaking issues to and I recently bought that one and it does not flake on me at all! Even by the end of the night when I go to wash it off. It’s amazing!!
I have the same exact problem!! No matter what brands or types I try. I thought tubing mascara was gonna do it for me but still got flakes all over my eyes 🙄

Yes definitely need more videos like this!!! Honestly I returned the blush duo from Patrick Ta because I felt like I had prettier blushes or just as pretty from the drug store. Also the Kosas concealer I agree 1000% with you it looks really bad under my eyes!
Do you purchase/repurchase your brushes often? I would love to see a video recommending some brands that have your favorite brushes. High end and affordable. As a beginner I never know where to start or look. Tfs! 🥰
I love watching your videos and how relatable they are to my experience with the makeup you used. I have used the milani mascara and same thing happened to me with the flakiness. Also the kosas concealer was super creamy but also creased on me as well. I will always trust your opinions!! ❤
I really enjoyed this video! I know you didn't like the eyeshadow because of how orange you thought it looked, but wow! The overall look is gorgeous!! You always make every makeup look beautiful!❤
One thing you forgot to mention is that Pixi is one of the few makeup brands available at the drugstore that has talc-free eyeshadow. The only others I can think of are Pacifica, Honest Beauty, PYT, Well People, and Milani. The cleaner ingredients could make it worth spending a few more bucks, especially if it performs well.
I'll always 💯 love how you 99.9% of the time "make it work" no matter what the makeup throws your way! You need to come out with merch saying that catch phrase...I know I would rock it!!

I just received the Too Faced Pumpkin Spice Second Slice Sweet & Spicy Eyeshadow Palette yesterday and won it on Too Faced Tik Tok Live and I'm willing to test it out. I do love the Elf Bite Size Eyeshadows in Truffle and Rose Water like I would repurchase them but they break right away. I might not repurchase those two shades but the pumpkin pie one and cream and sugar is my go to repurchase elf bite size eyeshadows. I love how pretty they look when you use a makeup look combining those two palettes. Elf's holiday collection is a repurchase for me. This is hard. I love everything I tried but I wouldn't repurchase NOMAD X Venice - Simplon Express Carry On Eyeshadow Palette. It's pretty for the fall and winter but the red , blue and yellow completely threw me off. I wouldn't repurchase the Wander Beauty Wander Escapes Palette since it's discontinued. Those were the only two products that really didn't work well and that I hated. I have a love hate relationship with the HUDA Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Palette. It's just hard to get the metallics on the eye.
I literally purchased the essence clear gloss bcuz of your recommendation. Bummer that they changed the formula. I’m glad I purchased like 4 of them before the change .

I honestly agree about how you don't love all these products. I personally think the foundation looked soo heavy and cakey. Jas has definitely used others that make your skin look much more beautiful and smooth!
I'll be totally honest.... since discovering the Elf Bite Size and the Essence 6 pan eyeshadows, I no longer feel tempted to spend a fortune on eyeshadow palettes anymore. And, the Elf Halo Glow powder has replaced my old OG powder from Hourglass. I'm so disappointed that Elf has not restocked their liquid filter product!!! I couldn't get my hands on one, and my niece is getting married next month, and I was so hoping to get one for her as well for her wedding day makeup. Come on Elf!!

@@Patti-1962 no problem at all!! Personally, I find the Maybelline one a lot thinner than the Elf one, so it blends out a lot better! I also like the glow of the Maybelline one better, the Elf one isn't bad but the Maybelline one catches the light prettier in my opinion!! The shade I have in the Maybelline one also matches my skintone and undertone better!!
I have the Pixi Hello Kitty Collection only cause I love Hello Kitty & collect everything Hello Kitty & makeup...lol but i haven't used anything from it yet... I do have a highlighter its a double 1 & it supposed to b a dupe 4 the amrezy the 1 shade is & i use it sometimes its buttery & beautiful

Yes-loved this ❤ So many RU-vidrs were telling everybody to run and get the Milani antigravity mascara -after seeing so many people say it I purchased it. Well it flaked so bad, it was so hard to remove it took me three days to get it completely off my lashes. I was trying to be as gentle as possible but I cannot get the stuff off. So what happened if course I lost so many lashes and I was so upset. I returned this immediately . Thankyou for a real review ❤
I have the same problem with that mascara, my remedy is to use milani mascara first to get the lift, curl, and length abs then top it off with one coat of maybelline sky high cosmic black and it's the perfect combination. My lashes look insane afterwards with no flaking. I always get compliments on my lashes why wearing this combo.
Do you feel like the IRL foundation would be nice under the milani supercharged dewy primer? I really want to try the foundation since it’s full coverage & I love the full coverage look! 😍

I honestly wouldn’t repurchase any of my products. Not because they are bad, I love them but just because I always want to try out new items. For example I don’t want to have 20 different blushes but just one or two and then try something new once they are finished. As for mascara tho i always will use the essence lash princess 😌

I love this concept for a video. Definitely want to see more of Jasmine spilling the tea! 😜 A product that I liked but will not repurchase is the lancôme monsieur big mascara. I bought it bc Kelly Strack raved about it. But the formula is so wet that it gets messy very fast. It does make my lashes look pretty & voluminous, but if you apply too much.....all your lashes with clump together. Also the mascara dried out ridiculously fast which is unacceptable for the price imo! 😫
That Kosas concealer and powder 😢 I bought into the hype and hated the concealer so much it didn’t cover but the color of the shade was amazing , and the powder is also so skin like but I got pan within a month
I was legit confused when u applied bronzer and blush without applying concealer so I was dying when u noticed at the same time 🤣🤣🤣. However I must admit that order worked out well 💞

What do you think of the CT Hollywood foundation im 45 and a lady from Mecca recommend it and it just sits in my laugh lines… I have normal skin…. And her powder isn’t working for me either??? Are her products for younger skin???
I agree with all of these products. If I can get a $10 product to do the same thing a $25-$40 product can do, I’m SOLD💗 love your vids as always. I have a question tho, what do you do with these products that you have that you don’t really like, do you end up giving them to family/friends or shelters or do you just keep them?
I loooooove that Milani mascara. It flaked on me maybe a little the second time I wore it, but I guess it was a fluke cause it hasn’t flaked on me since that one time 🤷♀️
I have the e.l.f. Coconut spray and I don't feel like it sets my make up. On the other hand I have Physicians Formula Illuminating setting spray. That one makes me look and feel like hair spray on my face. Any suggestions, Jasmine? Thanks for showing us these.
