I was inspired to make this video after watching some of these videos about nails from @MediocreManis. What are your makeup pet peeves? Do you have any solutions for some of my problems? Let me know! ❤️
My makeup pet peeve is when brands create face palettes with shades that definitely do not work together, whether it be they're suited for different skin tones (too light bronzer + too dark highlighter) or suited for different seasons (super bright blush for spring/summer + very cool-toned contour/no warm-toned bronzer for warmer months). I've bought a few palettes like this because the product photography was misleading. I hate returning things to have them end up in a landfill, but I still feel like that should not be a burden for the consumer! The dirty packaging really gets on my nerves, too, so I feel you there! It's totally unnecessary--just use regular plastic/cardboard! I used to clean my Bite beauty lipstick tubes with alcohol to take off that rubberized coating and that always fixed it. Hopefully that can help at some point! I've decluttered all of my matte with shimmer eyeshadows because they are so useless to me! They make such a mess. (Also, 9:36 made me lol)
That’s definitely annoying! I bought a couple face palettes before realizing they are terrible ideas (in general). I might need to try the alcohol on the packages, although I wonder if it will also remove any designs/etc.
I feel like as project panners we really stress test packaging to a new extreme. I'm not sure what the standard of stress testing is in cosmetic packaging and product development- it would be interesting to hear from someone in the field.
