I really like it when there is actual damage they are repairing instead of deliberately destroying makeup that was perfectly fine and putting it into a new container.
Make up artists do this so its cleaner to use smaller packaging on clients, instead of a big pallete you use for everyone, you don't want to use the same highlighter 10 other people used before you

back to the owner, i've seen them mostly do repairs (on xiaohonghu) but sometimes people will have special requests (eg. changing the lipstick's colour/texture, or to swap content from a limited edition/vintage packaging)
