I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

Becca undereye corrector. Has been sitting in my drawer quite awhile, a couple of years probably. Hated it at first time trying, it seemed so gooey and sticky to me and didn’t make any good to my under eye area. So I put it in my “product cemetery” drawer and forgot about it. 3 or 4 months ago I was struggling with my concealer failing to conceal puffiness and discoloration under my eyes when I realized that I maybe have something that might help. I’ve tried Becca corrector again and at this time it worked like magic. So it’s my holy grail since. Now my under eye concealer’s buried in my drawer and I wear my corrector with just light dust of powder most days all along. Not sure if it’s product needed to be dried out a bit or my under eyes skin😂 but the fact is they’ve met each other in the middle eventually 😂

Same in Australia , no returning makeup especially like the states. I cant believe that can happen how good would it be , even for gift giving ,if your gift recipient didnt like you coukd return .

Lisa Eldridge, Charlotte Tilbury, Too Faced, and Clinique will all take lightly used returns within 28 days. I have returned items to all of these places simply because I didn't like them

In my opinion because the Sisley was more expensive than the Dior and YSL that are both incredible, I feel people felt why spend the extra money when all three came out around the same time. But it’s so funny you just posted this about the Sisley lip because a month ago I bought the nude and petal shades. They are fantastic and now I’m going to purchase the color Bloom after watching the rest of this video 💜💜

Glad you mentioned. Space NK is the only place to take returns back with a valid reason and they will give you a gift card back not on the c. Card (that’s my understanding) versus USA, Is super easy to return within the return number of days. In UK, even if the package seems opened. Even it was not opened by you, they don’t take it back. It’s a shame. Even the UK Sephora is like that. And Sephora UK never does the insider sales like the US. I used to often go to US for work. And I love there return policy. As long as you are not abusing the policy they happily take it back.

You are correct, US lets us return! But… there is a stigma and concern with waste. The companies will take back and refund us but they throw them away. So as a consumer, I personally feel responsible for an item I buy. Any item. If I return a make up product I will feel so guilty that it is very rare that I would return.

I wasn't loving the Dior concealer, but then I saw a concealer round up by a lovely creator named Lisa Monique who specializes in women 50+. She said to let it dry down a bit before blending in. Now I'm appreciating this concealer. I have Haus also. Stingy in the amount of product, but it's good one. 😊

For me, it is the latest Tom Ford quad: Soleil Neige. I thought it was boring and was scared the dark shadow would be aubergine instead of what I was hoping a brown. Finally, it is my actual holly grail! I love soooooooo much! His eye shadows are so sultry and classy! Never cheap! Love it!

Love this video! Mine are L'oreal lash paradise (not sure why but I may have poked my eye with the big wand when I first tried it, haha!), Vieve eye wand in Sand is my new best ever eye primer to cancel out discolouration on my lids, and Huda glowish blush in milky rose (I just wasn't putting enough on!!). Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this video. There is an eyeshadow palette from By Terry I have that looks beautiful but I’ve tried twice and can’t get it to look nice. This was a good reminder to use some tricks I’ve learned from you and try again. I found it was showing creases when mine aren’t too bad.

I enjoyed this video and hearing from your experiences!! For me I’d say the ND Lila palette (my first ND palette) and PML eyeshadows, I didn’t get the hype and regretted buying them, now I love them and have all ND palettes available and all Motherships, except 11. I also didn’t like the Physicians Formula bronzer and now I pan several a year along with Nars Laguna! 😁 also, I learned a few years ago about the difference in tones per season. I find that cool tones look better when I am paler and warm tones when I’m more tanned. So when I don’t like something I try again the next season and usually I’m pleasantly surprised! 😁

the Tom Ford foundation stick is my holy grail! I really love it, I have dry skin and felt the same way at the very begenning, but it has such a velvety and plumping texture and a natural finish that makes me wanna buy 10 more! I am very scared about travelling with it tho, because it expires very quickly in warmest enviroments and it smells bad af (I had to buy a new one after a year of bad storage). I keep mine in the fridge😁

I too em envious of those in the US who can return stuff even after using them. I have never heard of that in the UK, they don't even take back unopened products, I did not know Space NK did. The only thing was being sent replacements for stuff that arrived broken which Flannels did for me. The Benefit roller lash was the same for me, I always loved Bad Gal Bang and the They're real magnetic one. i got a trio christmas pack in last years sales which had roller lash, initially thought it did hardly anything but have come to like to for work days

I've only ever returned a foundation not because it was the wrong colour, although it was, but because the pump was faulty. Even then the assistant was a bit sniffy about it!

PS, I’ll speak for myself…even though I can return something I rarely do it unless it performed absolutely terribly and was expensive or there was something wrong with it (I.e. the product came used). I would prefer that you couldn’t return makeup bc they usually just put used makeup back on the shelves for resale if it is barely used and can pass as new.

Even though it’s possible to return makeup at quite a few stores, I feel guilty so it either has to be broken or a horrible or caused a bad reaction on my skin. Otherwise I give it to someone.

Hi Charlotte! Would you suggest the tomford stick foundation for dry skin types ? I usually use a skin tint ( hourglass ) not into foundations as I prefer light coverage to even out my skin tone more on neutral side . Do you think tomford stick one is worth splurging ?? Awaiting your response 🤗

I have dry skin and I don’t like the look of heavy foundation. I have the Tom Ford foundation stick and yes it’s a splurge for sure but I love the foundation! It’s very natural looking. It can be built up to full coverage. I do a little extra moisturizing before I use it since I do have such dry skin. I hope that helps you coming from someone who has very dry skin ☺️💗

One thing I’ve learned is never have more than two mascaras on the go at once. You just can’t stop them from drying out otherwise

Cake mascara can be a good option, if you’re not going for high drama. The one from Kryolan comes in brown, too. I use a wet spoolie rather than the brush that comes with it.

If ur in the US and want the PM star wars singles keep an eye out when u got to Marshals or TJ I found them their for 6.99 among other PM quads, quints, motherships lipsticks blushes and highlight.

You can return anything wether used or not in the US. The markup on cosmetics is criminal. You spend 100 dollars on foundation and it not work out you bet your ass I am returning it. It’s called customer service.
