Grilled Lobster Recipe
Level of Difficulty: ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
Serves 1 to 2 persons
Ingredients:
Unsalted butter - 1 cup, melted
Garlic - 2 cloves
Salt - 1⁄4 teaspoon, plus more for seasoning
1 live lobster (about 450 gm to 650 gm)
Olive oil - 1⁄4 cup
Rosemary - 2 to 4 sprigs
Freshly ground black pepper
Lemon wedges, for serving
Method:
1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
2. Place a lobster on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut each lobster through the head. Using scissors, snip off the rubber bands. Do not remove the bands until the heads are split; set aside.
3. In a saucepan, combine the garlic, rosemary and butter. Set the saucepan on a cool place on the grill. When it melts, remove from the grill and set in a warm place.
4. Season the lobster with salt and pepper and drizzle olive oil. Place lobsters belly sides down on the hottest part of the grill. Cook for 5 minutes. Turn the lobsters, glaze the butter mixture over and grill for 5 more minutes.
5. Set the lobsters on a large platter, let them rest for 5 minutes.
6. Ready to serve with lemon wedges.
