@@aerialhorizonrc7827 Kairi Sane was one half of the longest reigning women’s tag team champions in history. Was the only person along with Asuka to pin Becky Lynch their overpushed “megastar” in like two years. She was an NXT women’s champion. I don’t remember her ever “jobbing out” to Charlotte either. She pinned the longest reigning SD Women’s Champion Bayley in her last match before retirement. The WWE gave her a job as an ambassador for them in Japan to help support her new family she’s starting with her husband. She has said she loved her time in WWE. But oh yes that evil Vince McMahon jobbed her out right ? If you’re gonna comment something at least know what you’re talking about.
@@eddylindsey986 they had Becky Lynch as a female Stone Cold and still they managed to possibly screw it up by letting her win at WM 36. at least her pregnancy help fans get a break before they made the IWC turn on her big time.
i love maki but tbh if you cant get over without that, you are talentless. If for some reason she ended up there she would be absolutely fine, she is great and can get over without the crass easy.
@@sarthakrawat7748 It doesn't matter what both of them think. Maki Itoh is more over than anything that they have in that embarrassment they call a women's division.
If Maki Itoh goes to WWE I will make it my life's mission to create real Terminators and time travel so I could send one back to protect her from WWE at all costs.
*Maki knows better! she knows that WWE can either make you a star or freaking destroy your career, she may be young and don't have much years of experience but ain't stupid or naive.*
WWE has more training facilities and she would get better professional training. But I agree WWE career long term wouldn’t be a good idea due to the PG contract and terrible creative team. But at least take advantage of WWE’s training before going to AEW.
@@maxuspoint Japan has better training for professional wrestling WWE training is for the sports entertainment aspect. Most go to wwe for bigger checks than what they are used to but wiser people and the fact that wwe isn't the only global place of wrestling now is good for wrestlers who want options for their own choice
@Lee Hayman Because they way they were booked after I know their accomplishments in NXT but the moment they stepped on the main roster they were done for I was ok with Charlotte ending Asuka's streak at first but then she started losing to people like Mella or when she first won the SD Women's Championship it was through the help of Ronda and then she would go months on end without being on tv and then lost it weeks before WM 35 for Charlotte I could keep going her and Kairi have had it rough on the main roster I imagine Io will have the same hardships dealing with Mcmahon's guys that's why I hope Maki never joins the E that's just my opinion.
I think when people talk to maki about wwe is because as fans we believe she deserves the praise, recognition and, why not, the wealth that it could give her, but i understand that it could go sideways or straight downwards, anyway i think fans just want her career to grow, that's the basis of it. I think.
I'd only want to see it to see Maki and Asuka interact, which I probably would because WWE would immediately pair them up and call them the Kabuki Warrior 2.0 or something
She's not saying "why would I go to WWE" A chatter says "never go" and she asks "why" then says "I don't go" (which here means "I'm not going") then asks again "but why" Like she's asking she's not saying they're so awful. Idk just sayin.
Maki Itoh must've seen Kairi Hojo, Io Shirai, Shinsuke Nakamura and Kana and how they got it bad so she knows instinctively that WWE is bad news for Japanese wrestlers.
Its all her own choices. Im glad she still wrestles in Japan. If yall want to check her wrestling just subscribe to the websites of the company she works for
I get it guys they would crush her, like they do to every other talent, but if she can make a shit load of money and learn from someone like shawn michaels, then i don't think its all bad.. as long as she doesnt stay there to long
Beyond all the other valid reasons why she shouldn't go, the other major reason is that she has no connections to the current Japanese talent signed to WWE. She came onto the scene after Nakamura, Kushida, Shirai and Asuka got signed to WWE so I don't feel she's ever worked with any of them. So she doesn't have any real connections that can help her In AEW, there are several women already who have worked with her before, whether before her AEW debut or after, so she has a foot in the door as well as support
As much as I would LOVE to see her get that level of exposure and see a ton of Maki Itoh collectibles (cards, figures, etc.) she needs to be able to keep doing what she's doing. A "PG" presentation and writers scripting every word she says would just diminish her overall appeal and have her leaving sooner than later. Now IF WWE would diversify by giving us another show that was edgier a la ECW at it's peak then it would be in the cards.
I love how she doesn't even get why she should in anyway be expected to go to WWE. Whether she's particularly aware of how badly WWE treats their Japanese signees, it says a lot about WWE's declining relevance among wrestlers themselves. Why go to WWE when AEW gave her a western platform to be herself, and doesn't try to lock her into exclusivity so that she can return to Tokyo Joshi Pro?
Signing with WWE would be a tragedy, but if she somehow managed to get booked in a tournament or something like Ibushi did, showed up, did her entire shtick after being told not to, and got blacklisted by WWE...that would be entertaining as hell.
she's smart enough to know that WWE is run by a senile racist old man and his yes men buddies, and with the recent news of NXT about to get a new more Vince McMahon friendly attitude as a development brand, it seems everywhere but WWE is her best option. also WWE main roster is not good for Joshis, Asuka in 2021 turned into crazy dancing Japanese woman, they pretty much wasted Kairi Sane's final years as a full time wrestler by making her and Asuka a women's tag team and i hate to see what they will do to Io Shirai on the main roster and Sarray may not get a chance under Vince's new vision for NXT if Johnny Ace and Bruce Pritchard are involved in it instead of HHH and Shawn Michaels and Regal. so pretty much Maki in AEW Would be her best place in the US. and if AEW could get her then open a forbidden door with Stardom, imagine the dream matches with their stars fighting with Maki.
@@smittyhurst3001 Calling vince racist is debatable but he is senile and has said some dumb shit "Hey there my nibba!" Booker T: ".... WHAT?!" It quite funny but very sussy any ways I don't think Will lives under a rock Smitty
@@smittyhurst3001 No racist is the right word. Between the Kofi/Bianca Squash and the treatment of Asuka, Kairi, Naomi and Mia AND the constant overbooking of Brock and Becky against any non-whites, the label is justified.
Maki itoh needs to not go to wwe they fuck up my girl asuka and kairi zane and probably going botch io shirai too. Love asuka always watch her on youtube kanachantv ❤😍.
im speaking fax when i say no japanese wrestler should go to the wwe ever , as a matter of fact no njpw wrestler should go to wwe because unlike njpw , promos in english are very imp cause wwe audience arent as good as njpw not are the heads/creatives... the worst part is that after rocking the indie scene youll end up being a jobber in wwe, look at shinsuke, finn, asuka, kairi and more, they came to main roster and became balls-lover, roman reigns personal jobber, goofy tag team partner/jobber with weird ink on her face, or no direction at all . THE GOOD part for them was they did excellent in nxt, the bad part RN is that vince is now running that too, so theyll prolly job in nxt too
I think, and hear me out here, that if anyone could benefit from a two year NXT contract, it would be Maki Itoh. Her English would improve, her in ring would improve, and she’d get the chance to gain some television experience that actually makes sense. Then she could go to AEW and become a star. And at 22 (I think) she has plenty of time.
I forgot on which livestream she stated that due to Japan's travel restrictions she cant come to AEW as often (due to tjpw using her constantyl as she a main draw) but she is more than willing to sign full-time and atill do shows in Japan like Moxley and Lance Archer are doing.
Contrary to what some WWE fans believe, most Japanese stars don't think very highly of WWE. Besides that Maki Itoh already has a US based company that she really loves working for in AEW and in AEW she doesn't have to change her character at all.
They wouldn't want her because she's not WWE friendly. She's too vulgar and she's a comedic wrestler. WWE has always been very cartoony and they've done a lot of comedy segments, but they've never been a promotion that does comedy wrestling, at least for the most part. I believe most of the exceptions occurred during the Attitude Era, which is the only era in which they probably would have been interested in her.
