Good morning Ryan ☕️☕️👍. Way different setup than on my Vermeer for bale size sensing. Not a bad fix to do though, great when a guy doesn’t have to buy parts.
Perfect windrow to make nice bales. Mostly sideways hour glass ⏳ bales here. Lol I make “silage bales” too with mine (not on purpose) lol, and get the plant gum on the rollers Baled some oat straw yesterday and cleared them all up shiny and clean
Balink the hay inta roundy rounds! Nick kept having break downs swatting grain last vidyah. Well, thats how ya learn to be a mechanic on the farm.😊. AL B.
Twine still going on the old 8465/60? She still has a heartbeat bipbipbip....😂 Familiar sound but I don't mis that baler to much swearing involved....she was worn out....
I’ll ask you because you’re down to earth and not a diva crybaby like Nick! Why do y’all swath your crops instead of just combining them? They raise small grains all over USA and the don’t waste diesel swathing the crop before putting it through a combine I would love to hear your reply! Again I’m asking respectfully nice video 👍🇺🇸🇨🇦
@Florida239 we swath them to bring them in faster as we don't get the heat or long days of sun like the farmers down south. Also crops like oats and barley will loose the seeds or the heads will fall off before you can straight cut them. The majority of guy will straight cut canola nowadays only because the varieties have been bred to have pos shatter resistance built in them. I still like to swath my canola tho as I think I get it in the bin faster
@@straightpipeacres6365 understood! So it’s a heat thing y’all way north! Nick is a crybaby he shoulda been a woman he cries more than he talks ! I appreciate the answer but I still say it’s a waste of diesel and hours on equipment! Keep doing you I love ya straight forward and don’t bullshit i appreciate that bless you and yours
@@Florida239 Nick explained it many’s times, he’s just tired of answer the same question repeatedly. A. we swath because of the climate we live in. B. If we don’t swath, you’d need more combine power to straight cut it before it turns to ripe and the heads fall off the grain. C. To sell certain crops ( malt barely ) can not be sprayed to dry down. D. Anything that’s not swathed in western Canada and is straight cut is sprayed with chemical so all the plants will ripen at the same time. E. Swathing is 10x cheaper than spraying.
