Yo! Would love for you to discuss about opening ranges for next video. Like what Ax hands do you open ugt in those 6-max, button, cut off, etc! (Not just Ax hands but any hands that you would open from every position in the table)
Hey tonka i would love to learn more about calling ranges with lets say pairs or good brodway cards A's high if someone shoves for a specific amount of Big Blinds. Keep up the great work :)!
Tonkaaaa, the only thing better than playing short handed I've learned from this channle is the joy I get from crushing fool's with a 40% hand. Come on son, you can't fold that shit. Thanks boss.
Love the vids man.. just watching and listening to you talk about each hand and your reasoning has vastly improved my online play... thanks much good sir!
Wow man I hope one day I could be player like you xD What recommended stakes for bankroll: $1500 I like fast pace action, tournamenst preffered but cash games are ok too. Keep the good work :) Love you man
Tonka I have a question. You were saying early in the video at around 6/7 minutes that your shoving super wide in the SB (depending on how wide they're calling). How much is your shoving range affected by you and your opponents stack size? Is it also affected by the bubble, if so how? Thanks for any info!
I've understood the push/fold range for a while, but then when I got to the flop with a so-so hand and was raised, I was lost. I appreciate your post-flop play for the hypers. As a suggestion for more vids, could you do a lower buy in sng? The game theory (so to speak) changes drastically, as player are fold and calling things they shouldn't. I'm a new sub, so if you've done that before, apologies.
Great video. I play tons of micro 6 max hypers. I play bounties tho. Which I guess makes ranges different in literally every scenario. But it helps at least with opening ranges from different positions. And hands to shove vs min raise. And what you can shove with x amount of blinds. Thanks for vids
This is dope stuff man. I'd like it if you could do a micro stake 6 max once, just to see your analysis and way of playing those players. Keep it up anyways man, content is nice
Sweet vid man, big help! Can you talk more about ICM considerations when near bubble as you massively seem to be playing to win rather than just cash..... Is this more profitable by taking calculated punts and lording it if you are a big stack rather than folding 90% of hands and waiting to get heads up?
With the 95s hand, what are you going to do with your weak aces that you defend the BB with? It seems like calling those hands would be best, but then you cap your check-shove range to K5 (or sometimes 53s?) so he can just call you with every pair. I think it's good to check raise all pairs on that flop, including your Ax otherwise your ranges become pretty easy to play against. But maybe it's best to check-call all pairs, so you can induce with Ax and therefore protect your hands like 95s? That would make you harder to play against I think, but maybe that doesn't matter with this stack size? Thoughts?
I'm most interested in bubble play and preflop shoving ranges. Spots where shoving 102o is correct. Spots where folding JJ or AKs preflop are correct. thanks
I'd like to know more about button shoving ranges and what you mean by that. Does it apply to most hands eg 9-10 K-9? Suited? Im not sure what you mean
I would like to know how ur ranges change on the bubble play when there are 3 equal stacks (6max TURBO) say that all 3 have like 20bbs at the bubble the one with most 2x the BTN ur in the BB with 44 what do you do? is 44 in the shoving range ? do you call and see a flop ? ect. But that is most common in TURBO not hypers so if you do some turbo videos I would like to know how to adjust ranges at bubble with like 20bb stack and the others also have 20bbs. Nice video really enjoy these ! :)
Hello Tonka, would really appreciatte if you could tell me if this is also applyable to knockout 6max hyper turbo sng`s.. ive been spamming those after failing on pretty much every other games and i had some results, i played 49 of them and my ITM is 48,3% and even if i finish 4th or 5th (which by my surprese, is very uncommon,as im not well prepared) I even get the chance of getting back almost half my buyin money, Can you please advice me if i should continue playing these type of sng`s? I know the sample size is small, but yet. Anyway your content is jsut gr8, and ur vibes and dedication u put into hand analysis is just to admire, keep up the good work!!
Hey Tonka, you're doing great job - really enjoying your videos. Could you talk about the best ways of studying off the table? Maybe you could go over some software that you advise the most? :)
Would be great if you could talk about profiling players. How you tag somebody as a rec or a solid player etc? TAG and LAG, passive etc. And why are these players tagged as such? What does it mean if a TAG or rec player 4 bets etc. Do you use a hud therefor or 'just' your gut? I enjoy your vids a lot and hope to get some more insight about te content mentioned above by yourself
I'm not sure about that play so I did some maths. If you assume you have 25% equity when called, you're EV when called is -175.75 chips. 1009 x 0.25 = 252.25. 252.25 - 428 (flop shove) = -175.75 The EV of a raise fold is 198. Therefore, for every time he raise folds he must raise call 1.1266 times to prevent you profiting, 198/175.75. Which means that he must raise folding 43.67% of the time for your play to break even. Do you really think he is raise folding that frequently? Or that you're equity is greater than 25% vs his raise calling range. Or maybe I've got something wrong. Lets also assume that he is a good regular and that his 1/3 pot raise is balanced. Cheers.
I ve got a question to the more experienced players. Im only playing micro stacks. That last Hand with 95s is it really bad to just fold when he called on the flop ? i mean 20% equity isnt that much right ?
Hey man! I am a novice poker player i have been playing for a bout 3 years now and have cashed in 4 live tournaments and won a couple of satellites into some higher stakes tournaments that i havent done so well with. Something i always struggle with is the size of my bets in 3 or 4 handed play, especially with strong hands or even the nuts i always seem to either over bet or i under bet and people at my local casino get rather pissed off thinking im always either slow playing or bluffing. Do you have any tips on how i can improve this part of my game? when i play online i seem to do fine with it but when i play live i dont
If they are getting pissed off, that's probably a good thing; that means they don't know how to play versus you. But IMO just keep it like: bet more than half pot when the board is wet, bet less than half pot when the board is dry, when the flop is paired, bet even less than that, maybe even less than 1/3; overbet/potbet only in situations where you either have the nuts or nothing at all. Also, don't bet your hand, bet the board. It's easy to tell what your hand is if you bet more/less when you have a hand.
you last play i like if the villian is on CO or more because in HJ, UTG his range is harder and you not have A's highs in you range of call, with middle pair here still i feel good, maybe for bluff would be a raise for fold in a shove some with less showdown value like 64s, 76s, bottom pairs with backdoor flush draw, k6s, k4s, k3s, k2s block someones AK's of course balance good with value with A5, A3, 33, 55.
If you could do a video on adjusting play/ranges to different players and how to play against the different player types that would be great! I think a lot of people are just looking at the ABC I have X big blinds with Y hands poker, especially in sit and gos. Well I do anyway. Great videos you big dummy
I fuckin love these deep strategy breakdowns, you've improved my game a lot brother, let us consume alcohol and cannabis together I live @yonge/lawrence
calling a raise with 9-5 from an utg raiser in a hyper is never ever good. Kinda think its like negative in every way. Having pot odds means absolutely nothing on stars, thats how they get your money. Or the bots limp your bb when u have a garbage hand, but you hit the flop.and proceed to bust. When someone limps my bb when i have a shit hand i just fold pre.
Maran Nebbeling thanks, maybe im a player that thinks different to most sheep like yourself. Is that in any way bad? Stick to following mate, il carry on leading.
Using Strategy @ Pokerstars Lmao! Cmooon Parker Maths, decisions, Varience or balancing dont exist at stars. The only thing that exist are Algorithms that swallow your roll.
hey men, you are prity golf but i hate the move i have been seen you doping oficial c/r shoving with middle pair in the flop, they never call you whit nothing worst than your hand, and when you get called you are always crushed, i just dont think that protecting from bluffes is enough argument to keep on doing that, i dont have anything but good wishes for you because i really like you so please reconsider that move
so why u r not there crushing those people? ahh sorry, a guy like you propably plays high stakes in Macau with Dwan. Fucking clueless idiots. I love when people says "ohhh fuck micro, donkfest, flipment, lotery, russian idiots shoves 72 and gets there. I would fucking love to play with people like that till the end of my days. I mean people that plays like that. Even more with people that says that bullshit cuz u r fucking lower then them, but yeah u can beat fucking nothing so u gotta find an excuse, lie to yourself and pretend to look cool. Players plays too bad its like havin too much money or gots to many blow-jobs - such a thing doesnt fuckin exist. If u cant beat donkfests then, good luck at low/mid stakes buahahahahaahha. Oh yea now you gonna fucking try to prove me that u plays NL100 and beast it, but you can beat NL2. If u think that anybody gonna believe in that then u r fucking dumb like an animal. Actually I would even believe u, u just forgot that after couple hours you woke up lol. Brainless pathetic fuck.
I have a huge problem, I would love to buy a hoodie however I am extremely lucky to b alive after a nasty car crash that left me with a 5% chance of survival.. please justify my purchase so I can buy a hoodie, thanks!
It sound very funny when you call someone "recreational player" on 100$ buy in hyper-turbo I mean, what amateur would play this type of a tournament..?
I like watching your videos, but when you say "You're going to want to shove 65% of your hands" It just makes me laugh. You did that 4 times in this video with horrible cards that happened to be suited and you busted out 4 times.
Torc Torc You can't be results oriented. will they wake up with good hands at times? yeah. tonka is saying this with the experience of playing thousands and thousands of these games
You don't have to so tight that you only make plays when you have the cards, but the terrible cards he shoves with sometimes... he doesn't stand a chance if someone calls him, unless he gets the luckiest flop of his life.
