Love how both family got together to make tamales, although I was a little confused because it's the first time I see someone cooking the masa before hand. My family is Mexican and I have family in different parts of Mexico and never seen or heard about that. Usually you prepare the Masa or buy it already prepared for you and you use it like so I don't think they are authentic tamales may be in the region where Carlos family is from they are but not from any other part in Mexico.

Please do more videos like this! I’m Mexican so I grew up on tamales and making them but it’s so cool seeing you and your family being exposed to Mexican culture!

We also made tamales here in the philippines but its different from mexican because we wrap it in banana leaves

Never have tamales. My mom’s best friend (35+ years) family’s friendship lifetime. They like my 2nd family. In Albuquerque New Mexico Mama T (she’s part Spanish) She makes the best fried burritos. It’s the best! Carlos should only speak Spanish for a day! Please I’d like try tamales.

Try putting pepper wherever she digs! It worked for mine and it’s not going to hurt them. I did the same type of thing for inside, my dog when he was 6 months was chewing through the DRYWALL in the middle of the hallway. Not even on a corner or anything! I put hot sauce on the wall and he’s never done anything like it again.
