We had leftover strip sets from our last video. Such a great starting point to "make a quilt"or two. Find some strip sets at your house and join us! Visit our website with this link: www.merrymabel... Stay Merry and Creative!
@merrymabelmarket Hello, I watched a longer video of your use of the shape cutter ruler. I was wondering if you think it would be a good option for cutting various width long strips. I need to make webbing from 500D Cordura with buried edges...that would be 4 layers of 1" width. I can't find a foot accessory for my vintage 158 Kenmore, so looking at options. Hope you are altogether better now. Prayers 🙂🙏
So refreshing to watch videos with voice over…rather than videos with no talking and repetitive background music. You weave a great story and have a wonderful clear voice box! Thank you….
Thank you for doing this.... it's about time more people got into being creative and flying by the seat of their pants... we all have so much to "use up"... why not! I've been doing this for years and wished more people could understand my love of it all!
“Just play”… and “randomly exactly” I love your teaching style and the way you combine permission to be creative along with the importance of being careful in the execution- glad I found your channel - subscribed ☑️
Wonderful use of leftover strip sets, with beautiful results. I just finished a small charity lap quilt made from all my red and pink strips...randomly sewn together. It came out great and I did have some leftovers...Thanks for the inspiration for using them as "starters" for another one!
I love using as many scraps as possible in my projects! This video totally inspires me to experiment a little more with my borders! Thank you so much for sharing💕
This is the way i have always made my quilts. I thought that is how it was done. I have never used a pattern. It really kicks the creativity into high gear.
Greetings from British Columbia, Canada to my quilting compatriots. 👋❤️🇨🇦. This is a great idea. 😀 I am currently making crumb blocks, this time for a cuddle mat for my daughter’s bunnies.
Thanks. I enjoy witnessing your creative play. I do the same thing. Some of my favorite creations came from left overs and freeplay. I love how your Africa table topper turned out!
I just gave the little quilt to my friend with the Africa Room yesterday. (I actually gave him both animal print little quilts. He was so happy to get them. (I don't really decorate in animal prints either.) They were so fun to make though! Tee hee...
I was afraid of fabric, it was hard to sleep at night, ya know, pull up the blankets and "ah!" Scary. But thanks to you a feel like I can face my fears, thank you.
So SOO beautiful. Both of them! Gosh I enjoy watching you create so much since I'm a beginner at quilting. Since finding you a couple weeks ago, your strip piecing ?( I think) has fascinated me to no end and your fabric choices are just all stuff I love as well.
Ce n'est pas des restes de tissus c'est carrément un choix mûrement réfléchi de note Africaine. Moi j'aurai ajouté arbres et animaux d'Afrique.merci pour le partage...
