Sending you a virtual hug Gunner. I am a creative person too. Have too many cramps in my hands to do the detailed work. Had to also give up embroidering. To watch you & listen to your excitement cheers me up. It's amazing what you do with fabric. I'm so proud of you for being meticulous. You set the bar high. 😘
This is absolutely FLAWLESS! For those that don't sew, blazers are not the easiest thing to make and especially in a design like this that literally can be for everyone...seriously, MASTER BADASS 👨🎤. Also, it's so true about cutting the fabric just so in order for the images to match this PERFECTLY; that's a skillset in itself. You are an INCREDIBLE tailor, not just an excellent artist. Look forward to wearing your fashions one day 🙏💫 🤩 !
@@GunnarDeatherage awe, you make my night when I watch you work. You are extremely talented hun. Keep pushing yourself bc i can only imagine the beauty you'll create!!
@@GunnarDeatherage Just noticed this 🙃 ! Happy to bring you joy when you bring joy to so MANNNNY 🙏🏻💫😇 . You are indeed a MAGICKAL creature...it takes a Witch to recognize a Witch 🧙♀️😘🧙♂️ !
Gunnar, do you think you could do a mini-biography thing for those of us who are a little bit nosey but truly interested in your story. Was anyone person your "muse", how did you get to where you are now? I'm so glad you sound like you are still grounded in simple and honest values. I love you sharing your process, your kitty and your voice is soooo soothing. Keep bringing us along as you evolve in your kraft and 😊
A mini biography would be good but he has shared his story already about learning how to sew from his grandma and how his grandma and his mom supported him against all odds when he wasn't allowed to display dresses as he was more interested in making dresses( his main inspiration is his grandma).. But I would love to watch a separate video on it
@@jmdenison Yes, anyone can sew. However, every person who knows how to sew isn't a master of that skill. If that were the case, I'm sure we'd be watching videos of your, fabulous creations.
Hmmm, kind of a hottake maybe, idk. But i feel like the height you went with for the coat is a bit too short for you i feel, if you wear a high waisted pant like a tad bit above the ends of the coat this would look sooooooo good because your body type is the kind where your shoulder and hip girdle plus your hands below waist's length look uniform so a high waisted pant or jeans or any bottom that raises slightly over the length of the over-top(idk what to call it to be general for a ll coattypes) would really compliment your bodytype and your vibe too!!! And something a bit cliche but heartfelt: watching your videos got me into designing my own apparels even if i can't sow them myself 😅 Anyway very nice put together!!!❤❤❤😊😊😊
Also! Every month we have a fun themed contest in my Free Discord community where you can create anything you want to enter ( doesn’t have to be clothing!) and this month the theme is SPACE! Check out the community! It’s free and fun🖤discord.gg/W5yn4kUR
I love, love, love that you include people of almost every size in the creation of your patterns. Thank you foe not leaving many of us out! You are a precious gem of a person.
I don’t usually comment on anything artistic because it may be wonderful but not to my liking, personally. I LOVE everything I have seen from you. You’re talented, humble, nice, funny, thank you for all your postings, can’t wait to see what you come up with next. ❤️❤️
You are so creative! I sew as a hobby and I love that you try to align the pattern at the seams, etc. I see people buy paterned clothing items and the pattern does not line up correctly at the seams. Before I buy a patterned item, I make sure the pattern matches. It if doesn't, I don't buy it.
Love your passion for being creative with a budget in mind. My mom and aunties all would come together to create a wonderful dress or outfit for us, 14 children for the major holidays and ceremonial events. The last dresses made were wedding dresses for all 6 girls.
Your talent is stunning!! I cannot believe your creation with every one of your sewing projects! I’m sure your parents and extended family are so proud of you… I’m so proud of You!! Amazing work Gunnar! 👍♥️😊
That jacket it dope! I live by that " I can make it cheaper" motto too. It's how I began making my own dreadlock extensions since 2000. I actually really want to make and sell custom dreadlock falls for people to just tie in, or individual dreads for self installation, because getting extensions done is crazy expensive. I've saved myself hundreds of thousands of dollars doing this. It's actually got me into doing my own full extensions since late 90s. (Coz I love the freedom of having a mohawk but like to be able to change my hair at the drop of a hat!)
