This is perfect for a community sewing project. Everyone brings scraps, mix them up in a single pile and get sewing. Don't even have to be precise with the seams so even beginners can join in. You could make a lot of charity quilts doing this.

For my first great grand's first quilt, I used scraps. They were from her mother's quilts, her grandmother's quilts, her uncle's, cousins, etc. The fun part is finding them! :)) I named it "Pieces of Your Past". Hope she loves it in years to come as much as I do. So, yes, I love your idea!!

I think half the fun is is the puzzling. I sew my scraps into material and make “scrap bags”….shopping totes. I look for like new sheets at thrift for liners. I love seeing the bits and remembering a quilting adventure. I always look for sales on whitish fabric. It is a great background to showcase free form blocks. Really enjoy your channel.

My favorite thing about your quilting is your fabric! It all looks like a more vintage look! I collect vintage cotton and only want prints that have a look of days gone by. The print must make me smile😂. Where do you find these wonderful prints? The over all feel of your videos are a favorite👏👍

I love sewing a quilt like this. So relaxing, a great way to de-stress and just let yourself enjoy sewing without following a pattern or cutting to specific measurements…but creating a useful quilt at the same time. I made seven table runners for Christmas in no time by doing this. So happy I found your channel.

I love these type of blocks. I am working on 6.5" scrappy cabin blocks using all colors from my scraps, probably an oversize lap quilt. I think I will try to FMQ on my domestic machine, too. Thank you for your videos, they inspire me to try new things!
