Another great video, thank you again for taking the time and effort to produce these videos. You are continually teaching me ideas and new methods to catch fish. Keep doing what you are doing and I am too a lazy fisherman! Thumbs up to us!
good video. im stopping by big fish outfitters on the way in and buying some live shad 9 to 12 inches and maybe some skipjack. I will buy you 4 if you want to pick them up. i appreciate the educational videos and taking the time to answer my questions.
That's one part of Flathead'n that I haven't ever had a problem with is gettin bait... Part of fishin for Flatty's is ya spend more time catchin bait than u do fishin.. Haha It's nuts but it's fun
I was wondering if you ever go out and do some crappie fishing ? I know growing up my dad and his friends were 98% of the time only fishing for crappie so that's all I did really until I was old enough to drive..lol I love catfishing I'm a lazy fisherman too then I suppose...lol but crappie is really my favorite fish to eat. And given a few bags of crappie to an old farmer has gotten me permission to hunt on a lot of land through the years lol
I do go crappie fishing sometimes. Mostly in the spring time when they are really easy to catch. I have some crappie videos on my channel from last year.
@@KayakCatfish oh yeah that's right I kind of remember watching that one of them actually.. I will go a lot in the fall and winter and spring to got a couple real get spots for when the spring spawn hits we can catch our limit everyday on Lake Keystone up here during that time it's good fun that's for sure well my birthday is this month and I'm still hoping my girlfriend is getting me that kayak LOL and they're on sale to down here can't wait as always good luck and good fishing and have a good day sir
Your a modest man and that's a lacking quality now days but you definitely gotta gift of entertaining and teaching. Thanks for the videos and the guidance. I'm really looking forward to trying your techniques on our lake.
I have a question on how/why dictates what kind of bait you will use on a particular outing? Sometimes it's white bass, shad or bluegills. Is it all trial an error when you get settled in as to what the catfish are hitting? or?
I generally use whatever bait is the easiest to obtain at the time I need it. In a perfect world, I would use skipjack from spring to fall and gizzard shad in the winter. I just don’t want to put in the effort needed to get them all the time.
Just something about using white bass for bait bothers me. It was always a big deal when the white bass started running in the spring. For those of us without boats it was a great time to fish off the bank, and such good eating!!
Its great to see how you catch your bait fish too Just for a bit of a change. I know you wasnt pleased with your catch but at least it's enough for one day out. Well done & take care.🎣😎🇬🇧
Good video, I never realized you had a Torqeedo trolling motor. I have just put one on my Native Titan 13.5. Love it. What battery do you have with the Torqeedo?
Love your videos been supporting you for two years your welcome to join my group on Facebook the fishing lodge an post your videos would love to have you as a member can't wait to see your next big cat
Thanks for the long time support! I appreciate your invite to the Facebook group but I try to keep Facebook group activity to a minimum. Too much drama on Facebook.
Great video! I see that you have done some videos on the nucanoe frontier 12, I could not find any with your opinions on it, did you like it? Like I said me being a bigger guy it seems to be pretty stable from what I have read, it looks like it should be good for catfishing. What are your thoughts on it? I have heard good and bad, thanks for the recommendations in advance! Keep it up!
I had a Nucanoe Pursuit briefly. The quality left a lot to be desired. As the old saying goes, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all lol. That’s why I never made an official review video.
