Making a Bamboo Straightening Tool

A quick instructional video on how I make my bamboo straightening tools
Mainly using a sanding bit on a Dremel tool I carve an angled notch into a plank. This notch braces the bamboo on opposing sides and allows leverage to be placed onto the bamboo pole bending it in the desired direction.

just a side driver comment, but maybe you could pre-pierce the wood with a bit, and finish it with the Dremel, if you want to save time.

I am meaning I’m not sure how they straighten the commercially available cane poles on the market today. I am sure its not inch by inch with a tool like this tho

@@canepolewilly I don't know for a fact either, but I feel like I remember seeing lumber straightened by just putting it in a mold and steaming it for a bit and then letting it cure into shape. like a looooong steam oven type of thing.
