The corn plants are ripening here and i've been finding loads of cobs left over after the harvest. I wanted to store some for winter but also to experiment with the corn husk as a weaving material.
The first method I tried didn't work out, but I was really pleased with the basket I made in the end. The corn husk is nice to work with and I hope I can collect more in the future!
I also made some stew with the last tomatoes and peppers I grew this year, and a Shaggy Ink Cap mushroom, one of the 'fool proof four' wild mushrooms. (I'm still alive 😆)
I also spotted many other fungi growing at the moment, it seems a really good year for them.
It's getting cold now and the days are darker, so I'm thinking more about cosy things and keeping warm.
Thank you so much for watching and for your support! I really am grateful and love to hear what you think! 💫
